Just last week, Zwift took the wraps off their new premium tier called Zwift+. Along with a new coaching program, Zwift+ also includes Rouvy-like real-world videos with a Zwiftified gaming twist. You still get real-world videos, but the typical Zwift features are overlaid on top. So while you get the feeling of riding in Zwift, you also get the visuals of riding some epic routes in real life including the landscape, traffic, and apparently even roadside potty breaks. (Screenshot/Sam Sky)Seemingly first noticed and posted by Sam Sky on the Zwift Ride Owners Facebook Group, the new Colorado Sunrise route featured an unexpected guest that somehow made its way through development. While a number of people online claimed that this was someone pooping on the side of the road, to my eyes, it could easily be a woman taking a bush wee, which seems more likely (and innocent would this even have been a big deal if it was a guy standing while urinating into the bushes?). Either way, Zwift reacted quickly to the unexpected visitor and quickly patched the route to put up new barricades in front of the impromptu bathroom break since, presumably, they couldnt edit the actual video. Zwift talked about how much effort it took to properly film these routes, and how many times they had to redo individual videos for any number of reasons, so its not that surprising that something like this made its way through. But proving they have a sense of humor, Zwift gets the last laugh here by naming the new sprint segment When You Gotta Go! The roadside eliminator may be gone from view, but theyll live on in infamy every time you sprint across that line.
