Mosaic Cycles Introduces Zero Components Starting w/ Carbon Forks for Road, All-Road, Gravel & 32 Bikes
I would imagine that when youre a bicycle frame builder, there would be times when your visions or ideas for a frame would get stifled by whats available in the component world. Thats precisely what happened for the crew at Mosaic Cycles. As a result, Aaron Barcheck, the founder of Mosaic Cycles, just launched a new component brand to eliminate that issue. The new component line is called Zero Components. Today, they announce their new carbon fork lineup built for modern bike needs. Here is a new Zero Fork specd on the new Mosaic. (Photo / Mosaic Cycles)The idea grew out of a recurring frustration: the parts needed to build certain bikes simply didnt exist on the market. The solution was to start designing the components themselves.Zero Components is BornZero Components is the result of that thinking. Its spun out from Mosaics internal Zero Ops R&D program into a standalone brand. You can see one of their forks on Mosaics new 32 wheeled gravel race bike, the GT i55 32. (Photos / Zero Components)The brand is positioning itself to serve a wider audience than just Mosaic customers. Every Mosaic bike will be equipped with Zero Components forks going forward (starting at the MADE Bicycle Show). The new products are also being made available to individual riders looking to upgrade an existing build. The new Zero forks will be available to independent frame builders and small manufacturers as well. The G55 32 fork offers tire clearance for days. The launch lineup centers on four carbon forks covering road, all-road, gravel, and the growing 32-inch gravel category. Each fork is designed with geometry, tire clearance, and details specific to its intended riding style. These new forks are not a one-size-fits-all solution. Shared across the range are tapered steerers, thru axles, flat mount disc brakes, and both internal and external brake routing options. All four forks have been tested to the ISO 4210 standard.Lets check them out.Zero Components Fork Lineup, Retail & SpecsR35 Road ForkRetail: $575Tire Clearance: 35mmAxle to Crown: 371mmOffset: 43mm or 50mmBrake Routing: Internal, ExternalBrake Mount: Flat Mount 140/160mmSteer Tube: 1.125-1.5 taperedSteerer Length: 350mmMounts: FenderWeight: 490gAR40 All-Road ForkRetail: $575Tire Clearance: 40mmAxle to Crown: 380mmOffset: 47mm or 51mmBrake Routing: Internal, ExternalBrake Mount: Flat Mount 140/160mmSteer Tube: 1.125-1.5 taperedSteerer Length: 350mmMounts: FenderWeight: 510gG55 700c Gravel ForkRetail: $575Tire Clearance: 55mmAxle to Crown: 415mmOffset: 55mmBrake Routing: Internal, ExternalBrake Mount: Flat Mount 160/180mmSteer Tube: 1.125-1.5 taperedSteerer Length: 350mmMounts: FenderWeight: 555gG55 32 Gravel ForkRetail: $640Tire Clearance: 55mmAxle to Crown: 445mmOffset: 60mmBrake Routing: Internal, ExternalBrake Mount: Flat Mount 160/180mmSteer Tube: 1.125-1.5 taperedSteerer Length: 300mmMounts: NoneWeight: 560gFor riders and builders whove felt limited by whats currently available on the market, Zero Components offers a direct answer: parts designed with specific performance and fit goals in mind.
