This is MAAPs first foray into the premium eyewear market, bringing the brands signature design and aesthetics to a whole new category. We obsess over the details always have. Eyewear isnt new to our world, its part of how we live and ride. That obsession over details and design is what drives us into new spaces. It sharpens everything. Advanced_Optics is that obsession finding its form with room to grow and evolve.-Ian Elliot, CEO of MAAPMAAP Advanced_OpticsAccording to MAAP, its new eyewear lineup was designed to deliver protection, comfort, and optical clarity, combining technical performance with the brands progressive approach to design. The four models include frameless, half-frame, and full-frame performance models, along with a pure lifestyle silhouette. This lineup should cover the preferences of most riders, both on and off the bike.MAAP HALOHalo delivers precision vision in an aerodynamic form, featuring a rimless frame, matched with a sweeping curved lens for peak visibility. The TR90 frame elements come in a Galaxy colorway, combining space-inspired speckles, an interchangeable green TPE nose pad, and grey TPE grips. With easily interchangeable lenses, riders can choose between Silver Mirror (23% VLT) for bright days or the Yellow Lens (79% VLT) for low-light situations. According to MAAP, both high-contrast polycarbonate lenses offer 100% UV protection and are treated with hydrophobic, oleophobic, and anti-fog coatings to maintain performance in all conditions. With a rimless design, the HALO weighs in at a claimed weight of just 21.8 grams. They retail for 220 / 200 / $250 / $325 AUD.MAAP ORACLEEngineered for the pursuit, ORACLE utilises a semi-rimless design that balances a lightweight frame with an interchangeable adaptive grip system. The matte beige TR90 frame extends across the top of the lens and down the arms, where it is offset by light green temple tips. MAAP says the sleek shield lens provides expansive coverage for excellent focus all day long.Riders can choose between the dark green lens (18% VLT) for sunny days or the contrasting pink (57% VLT) for when its a bit dimmer outside. Either way, those lenses provide the same 100% UV protection and performance lens coatings as the HALO. Claimed weight is 23.9 grams.
