MADE Show: Sinewave Cycles Compact Dynamo Rear Light, No Dynamo Hub or Front Light Needed
This last weekend in Portland at the MADE Show, we got to see a bunch of really amazing people. And they were showing off their amazing talents. Including dynamo light guru/aficionado, David Dean of Sinewave Cycles. This year at the show, he was showing off the new Sinewave Cycles Taillight. (Photos / Ron Frazelle)The new Sinewave Cycles Taillight can connect to a front dynamo light, or battery, or even be used on an eBike. But, it has another very unique feature. Most, if not all of the rear dynamo lights available on the market need a front dynamo light to work. But, the new Sinewave Cycles Taillight does not. It can be run directly to the front dynamo hub.Blinking. off.. on. Perfect for those that dont need/want/like front dynamo lights. When run straight to the dynamo hub, it allows the Snewave Cycles Taillight to be always on. No need to mess with chargers or batteries, you just have a working rear light thats ready to shine as soon as the front wheel is turning. Clever and simple mounting hole. Simple Mounting solutionThe new Taillight has an optional blinking mode and a stand light that remains illuminated for 5 minutes after the bike has stopped. Taillight Innovative FeaturesPowered by headlight, battery, or directly from the dynamo hubSelectable blinking modeIntegrated reflectorFlexible installation optionsWaterproofMade in the USAI am a massive fan of the Sinewave Cycles Beacon 2, and you can read about it in my review. I would imagine that it is a sound bet that the new Taillight will be of equal build quality, with the same technological innovation.
