- WWW.BIKERADAR.COMI couldn't be more excited: Cinelli and Omnium pair up to make one very cool cargo bikeIf you head into town, the bikes people are riding are very different from only a few years ago. Of course, electric bikes particularly the hire and delivery kinds continue their ascendency. But one quieter shift has been in the cool bike of choice: people are no longer pulling skids on fixies, theyre now loading up cargo bikes. This changing of the guard, across the world of bicycle couriers and, well, hipsters has been encapsulated in one spectacularly unexpected collaboration launching today. Cinelli and Omnium have teamed up to create the Omnium x Cinelli Supercargo, a cargo bike thats a mash-up of their respective styles and designed to carry everything fast. Read more: Cinelli Aeroscoop is a fast and forgiving aero bike but there's an issue for taller riders Marking the Cycle Messenger World Championships The Omnium x Cinelli Supercargo cargo bike. Cinelli The Supercargo has been created and launched to celebrate the two brands sponsorship of the Cycle Messenger World Championships 2026, which takes place in Cinellis home city of Milan, from 27 May to 1 June. Cinelli has long been associated with urban riding. It has released many popular fixed-gear bicycles with an eye on city riding and racing. The company says the Cinelli Mash, first released in 2009 in collaboration with the San Francisco bike shop, was the worlds first urban-specific performance track frame. Ever since, the continued collaboration has been synonymous with fixed-gear riding. But Cinelli isnt against embracing cyclings cargo bike trend in fact, the opposite is true. Cinellis chairman, Victor Luis, says: I couldn't be more excited about our collaboration with Omnium. We both bring our unique skills and histories to this one it's a mashup of Omnium's functionality and ruggedness blended with Cinelli's Milanese design language, all driven by our shared passion and love for the global messenger community. The bike celebrates Cinelli and Omnium's sponsorship of the Messenger World Championships. Cinelli The bike uses a combination of Columbus and Omnium tubing. Cinelli Omnium was founded in 2012 by the Danish bicycle courier Jimmi Bargisen, who won the Messenger World Championships in 2018 and 2019. It has also become synonymous with couriers and urban riding. Omniums CEO, Matias Ovens, says working with Cinelli has been amazing. Obviously being aligned on our passion for bikes, but also combining our aesthetics and culture has been a great start to a hopefully long-lasting relationship. And naturally the timing couldnt have been better, being able to launch during CMWC, which we usually take part in, and then in Milan. It just makes sense, adds Ovens. An iconic colourscheme Each frame is numbered. Cinelli In terms of the aesthetic, the Supercargo has Cinellis iconic Azzuro Laser colour scheme, as featured on the brands Olympic and World Championship-winning Laser track bike. Cinelli also recently used the colour on its retro Supercorsa remake. Underneath that finish is a bike made from Columbus and Omniums own tubing, which blends classic Italian steel heritage with modern cargo functionality. Full builds come with mudguards, DT Swiss wheels, Schwalbe tyres and a SRAM Apex drivetrain. Cinelli That blend will only be available for now to a select few, with just 120 of the limited-edition Supercargos being produced. It will be available in three sizes (small, medium and large) for 3,500 or 1,800 for the frameset. Full builds come with mudguards, DT Swiss wheels, Schwalbe tyres and an 11-speed drivetrain with a SRAM Apex rear derailleur. Cinelli and Omnium have also collaborated on a selection of clothing and accessories, including T-shirts, caps, socks, water bottles and a messenger bag. Omnium and Cinelli have also created a range of accessories and clothing. Cinelli Read more: New Cinelli Zydeco Washboard is a gravel bike youll want to ride everywhere0 Comments 0 Shares 167 Views

- BIKERUMOR.COMGet to Hootn & Hollern with Wheels Mfgs Semi-DIY New Hootin Hauler Starter KitToday, Colorados Wheels Manufacturing launches a creative new Hootin Hauler Starter Kit just in time for the caked-on mud of Unbound this weekend. The kit is a low-profile modular bolt-on accessory platform that tucks in under a water bottle cage. It mounts to the existing bosses under your water bottle, and can be as an attachment base for tools, storage, or any other trail-side problem-solving that needs to be done. The Hootin Hauler is being debuted at the 2026 Unbound Gravel race to honor Unbounds 20th year. At only $15, the starter kit includes the base attachment mount and a Trail Scraper tool. A tool thats designed for clearing mud and debris from jockey wheels, brake calipers, chainrings, and tires.Wheels Mfg, Hootin Hauler DIYs trail tools(All photos / Wheels Mfg.)The Trail Scraper was developed based on real-world experience during muddy gravel races and remote bikepacking routes, where you need improvised cleaning solutions. Not only for the relatively simple but dirty task of tire cleaning, but also for clearing built-up mud out of tighter spaces that grind your bike to a halt like behind cranks, in between cogs of your cassette, and caked-up derailleur pulleys & cages!Could come in real handy at Unbound.Open Source AccessoriesWhat makes the Hootin Hauler different is its open-source approach to bike accessories. The base serves as a foundation for a library of free, downloadable 3D-printable attachments. This allows riders to customize, modify, or create from scratch whatever you need.Cyclists can print exactly what they need for their specific riding style or conditions. Whether thats carrying gear, mounting tools, or other items used for problems they encounter on the trail? The platform encourages community involvement, with creators and riders worldwide already developing additional accessories for the system. Since the tool is launching at the 2026 Unbound Gravel, 5000 participants will receive starter kits in their race bags.Wheels Mfg. is hoping that doing this will help build the initial user base for this community-driven accessory ecosystem. The concept transforms a simple bike mount into an expandable platform that can evolve with riders needs and the cycling communitys creativity. Pretty cool.We wanted to create something affordable and genuinely useful, but also something riders could make their own, said James Flanagan, Marketing Manager at Wheels Manufacturing. The Trail Scraper solves a real issue riders face in muddy conditions, but the Hootin Hauler platform itself is really about giving the cycling and 3D-print community a base to build from.Hootin Hauler Retail & How it WorksRetail: $15 (3D-printer not included)Start With The Base Attach the Hootin Hauler to your bike beneath most water bottle cages or to an unused set of cage bosses.Download Free Attachments Choose from a growing library of Wheels Mfg & user-generated downloadable accessories.Print & Ride Print only the extra accessories that suit you, to create a setup tailored to your individual ride.
