- BIKERUMOR.COMWolf Tooth Adds T47 Asymmetric Bottom BracketsThe latest edition to the Wolf Tooth Components catalog once again falls in the bottom bracket category. But this time, it isnt more colors; rather, a new BB standard for the brand.New for Wolf Tooth is their T47 Asymmetric Bottom Bracket. Currently, the new BB is only offered in black (we imagine thatll change) and, like all other Wolf Tooth BBs, it is machined at their headquarters in Minnesota. The new T47 Asymmetric features low-resistance bearings and a five-seal system to keep dirt and grime out. Everythingbearings, bushings, seals, shapeis a custom design meant for efficient spinning. It also features a unique bushing system that separates the inner race bearing from the crank spindle. This means no metal-on-metal, resulting in a creak-free bottom bracket. Wolf Tooth says the bushing also extends the life of the bearings by helping to keep water out. Now, Wolf Tooth hasnt been making bottom brackets for very long. Less than a year ago, they announced they would start offering BBs, starting with BSA and then T47 BBs, both internal and external.Of course, the colors followed. And, like all components from Wolf Tooth, the T47 Asymmetric Bottom Bracket comes with their Right to Repair promise. They have replacement parts for all their components, allowing you to replace a small part rather than the entire product.Wolf Tooth offers the new T47 Asymmetric Bottom Bracket in 24mm, 29mm, and 30mm spindle diameter options. It retails for $139.95.Check out wolftoothcomponents.com for all the details. The post Wolf Tooth Adds T47 Asymmetric Bottom Brackets appeared first on Bikerumor.0 Yorumlar 0 hisse senetleri 434 Views

- BIKERUMOR.COMPropain Expands Its Lineup with New All-Mountain Model, the TYEE TrailPropain just announced a brand-new model in its growing range of mountain bikes, the TYEE Trail. With 145mm of rear travel, a 160mm fork, and a modern trail/all-mountain geometry, the TYEE Trail slots in as a capable all-rounder filling a gap in the Propain lineup. With this new platform, the brand offers varying wheel sizes, a choice between carbon and aluminum frames, a starting price of just $3,299, and extensive customization options through its online configurator. And if youre thinking, doesnt Propain already have a TYEE in the lineup? Yes, the TYEE has been a staple in the brands lineup for years, evolving into the thoroughbred enduro bike that it is today. The new TYEE Trail (145mm) splits the difference between the longer-travel TYEE Enduro (160mm) and the shorter-travel Hugene (130mm) trail bike. It shares its DNA with its longer-travel sibling, but in a shorter-travel package that should make it a more versatile, efficient, and agile ride for trail and all-mountain riding.Propain TYEE Trail DetailsThe TYEE Trail is meant to be a versatile, pedal-friendly all-mountain counterpart to its enduro-focused sibling.Propain is offering the new TYEE Trail with Blend Carbon and Aluminum Frames. Regardless of frame material, this new model shares the brands familiar frame silhouette with the rest of the lineup. Thats largely a result of the brands signature PRO10 suspension design, which controls the 145mm of rear wheel travel.Thats being paired with a 160mm travel fork. With a wheel size flip chip on the rear suspension linkage, riders on M, L, and XL frames can choose between dual 29 or mixed-wheel setups. For shorter riders on XS and S frames, Propain aims to provide a more proportional fit and agile ride with 27.5 wheels.Aside from in-frame storage, the frame features all of the modern touches that weve come to expect. Propain gives the rider options for internal cable routing with ports on the frame or through the headset if you prefer. The frames feature molded protection to guard against chain slap on the chainstay and seatstay, a downtube protector, bosses for a water bottle, and another set for a tool or accessory. Of course, theres also a UDH for broad drivetrain compatibility, and the frame has 12 x 148mm Boost rear axle spacing.PRO10 SuspensionPropains unique PRO10 suspension layout.Propain uses its PRO10 suspension design across all of its models. This unique-looking layout is a dual link design with a floating shock, which Propain claims delivers excellent small bump sensitivity while maintaining consistent traction and support on demanding trails. Based on the charts below, it appears to have anti-squat well over 100% through most of the stroke, which should provide a supportive pedaling platform, along with a leverage rate tuned for its travel length, air shocks, and intended use.GeometryWith the TYEE Trail, Propain didnt diverge too far from the geometry of its longer travel sibling, the TYEE Enduro, or other models in the lineup like the Sresh SL. There are some slight variances, but overall, the Trail has a progressive geometry that looks to align quite well with its trail and all-mountain use case. The head tube angle is 64 degrees on XS and S frames, and 64.2 degrees on sizes M XL. Effective seat tube angles are fairly steep at 77.2 degrees across all sizes, and reach measurements look relatively standard with ~25mm growth between sizes and 475mm on a size large. Chainstays are proportionally shorter on the dedicated 27.5 XS and S frames at 430mm, lengthening to 444mm on M XL sizes. Check out the chart below for the rest of the details.Propain TYEE Trail: Builds and PricingAs mentioned above, Propain is offering the TYEE Trail in both carbon fiber and aluminum frames. The aluminum version will save you some cash, while the carbon will save you some weight. Either way, the bikes have the same geometry, PRO10 suspension, and should perform similarly on the trail.Propain sells both carbon and aluminum frames as completely blank slates. Carbon goes for $2,699, and Aluminum sells for $1,899. For that price, it comes with an Acros headset, and you choose the color of the frame and decals. Buyers can add a shock and a few other bits at checkout for an additional fee. For example, the RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate adds $475 to the price, putting the TYEE Trail CF frame and shock at $3,174.Propain provides options for frame, decal, and head badge colors, plus endless options if you go the custom route. As with Propains other bikes, complete pricing is quite competitive, and they appear to be a good value in the current market. Complete bikes through the custom configurator start as low as $3,299 with an alloy frame, or $3,899 in carbon, and top out at $9,400 depending on what parts you choose. There are so many options that it could make your head spin, but its a great way to get the parts you want straight out of the box.In North America, the TYEE Trail is available in two complete Signature Specs, each with customization options such as frame color, decal size/color, and head badge color. - WWW.CYCLIST.CO.UKEverything you need to know ahead of the ClassicsCyclistEverything you need to know ahead of the ClassicsThe Classics are calling. The curtain is about to rise on Opening Weekend, giving way to some of the most brutal one-day races in the world. With Omloop within touching distance, weve put together a list of everything you need to know ahead of the most glorious period on the cycling calendar, including upcoming showdowns, young riders to follow and route changes to get familiar with.Opening weekend should begin with a bangJasper Jacobs/Belga/AFP via Getty ImagesClassics season kicks off as usual with Omloop Nieuwsblad on Sunday 28th February. But what could make it extra special is the return of Wout van Aert from injury and a potential showdown with Mathieu van der Poel. We were briefly treated to a spectacle between the two at Exact Cross Mol before Van Aert fractured his ankle, and when the pair are operating at their highest level, well, theres nary a better sight in cycling. The prospect of them going head to head on the Muur is mouthwatering. Both mens and womens races will see the addition of the Tenbosse and Parikeberg climbs in the final 14km of Omloop though the run in with the with the Muur and Bosberg remains the same. Last year, the races gave us quite the start to the Classics. The mens race culminated with a nailbiting group sprint that saw Sren Wrenskjold of Uno X Mobility prevail, while two riders from the early breakaway surprisingly stayed away in the womens race, with Arka-B&B Hotels Lotte Claes beating Winspace-Orange Seals Aurela Nerlo.Van der Poel could join Boonen and De VlaeminckXavier PereyronAlpecin-Premier Tech seem to have perfected Paris-Roubaix. Van der Poel has reigned victorious here since his first win in 2023, and teammate Jasper Philipsen followed behind in second in 2023 and 2024. Cobbles and mud make this a perfect hunting ground for Van der Poel and this year hes seeking out a fourth title, which would see him join Roger De Vlaeminck and Tom Boonen as the men with most victories.Another element to keep an eye on is the speed. The past three years hold the top three places as the fastest ever editions of the race, ranging between 46.84 kmh and 47.80 kmh. Thats likely due in part thanks to developments in technology such as wider tyres, as well as dry conditions and heavyweights like Van der Poel and Tadej Pogaar putting in enormous efforts to split the field. This year both the men and women will take on the cobbles on Sunday 12th April as opposed to the women racing on the Saturday and there is a slightly route change for both after the first cobblestone section, with organisers hoping four tightly packed sectors in quick succession could spark some early potential drama. In the womens race Pauline Ferrand-Prvot is not set to try to defend her crown. The reigning champion is instead focussing on the hillier Classics Strade Bianche, the Tour of Flanders, La Flche Wallonne and Lige-Bastogne-Lige. This year, in the mens race the names to look out for are Decathlons Paul Seixas in the Ardennes, Lidl-Treks Jakob Sderqvist and Albert Withen Philipsen on the cobbles and Lotto-Intermarchs next great Belgian prospect Jarno Widar in the hilly Classics. Meanwhile on the womens side Movistars British sensation Cat Ferguson and her teammate Paula Ostiz, whos a first year pro coming straight from the juniors so wont have big expectations but looks to be a superstar in waiting, and Visma-Lease a Bikes Slovakian talent Viktria Chladoov. Incidentally those three made up the podium at the Worlds junior road race in Glasgow.Seixas, billed as the next big thing in French cycling, is riding far beyond his 19 years, coming off a season that saw him win the Tour de lAvenir, shine in the Tour of the Alps and Critrium du Dauphin, notch a second place at Paris-Camembert, finish seventh at Il Lombardia and come behind only Pogacar and Evenepoel at the European Championships. Hes set to be riding in the Faun-Ardche Classic, Strade Bianche, La Flche Wallonne and Lige-Bastogne-Lige and already looks to have made an enormous step up in year two.World U23 ITT Champion Sderqvist finished second behind teammate Philipsen at the U23 Paris-Roubaix last year and has Omloop Nieuwsblad and Paris-Roubaix on his schedule, though expect both Sderqvists and Philipsens spring programme to fill up. U23 European Champion Widar reigned victorious in the U23 Lige-Bastogne-Lige last year and is taking on a stacked Classics programme in 2026 that includes Strade Bianche, La Flche Wallonne and Lige-Bastogne-Lige.Yorkshires Ferguson began the new season exactly how she ended the last one. winning. The Brit podiumed at Trofeo Alfredo Binda last year in her first full pro season, and went on to notch a top ten at Brabantse Pijl before winning at Vuelta Ciclista Andalucia to finish the year. This year, she stormed to victory at Trofeo Llucmajorand claimed a stage at the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana. The 19-year-old will race Omloop Nieuwsblad, Trofeo Alfredo Binda, Milan-San Remo, In Flanders Fields From Middelkerke to Wevelgem, the Tour of Flanders and the Amstel Gold Race. There was barely a race Ortiz entered that she didnt win in 2025, victorious in the junior Flanders and the road races at both the World and European Championships. Her schedule is yet to be revealed.Chladoov doesnt have much on her confirmed schedule so far but in 2025 did Milan-San Remo and the Ardennes. Shes got off to an impressive start this year with a strong ride at Valenciana.Who is ruled out of the Classics? Dario Belingheri/Getty ImagesMads Pedersen is one of the biggest names sidelined following his collarbone and wrist fracture at Valenciana. Despite consistently lighting up every race hes in, the Dane is still targeting that maiden Monument win. He will miss Milan-San Remo and an exact return date is still to be confirmed.Decathlon-CMA CGM new signing Tiesj Benoot has been ruled out of the Classics following surgery for a herniated disc. It marks the first time that the Strade Bianche and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne winner will miss the spring. Itll be a big disappointment as he was scheduled to be one of the teams protected leaders.Despite starting the year in good form, Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohes Maxim Van Gils fractured his pelvis at the end of Clsica Jan and will be out for a lengthy period. Van Gils was a revelation in the Classics in 2024, podiuming at Strade Bianche and La Flche Wallonne, finishing seventh at Milan-San Remo and fourth at Lige-Bastogne-Lige.Other talking pointsWout Beel/Soudal-QuickStepSoudal-QuickStep back to their best? With the departure of Remco Evenepoel to Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, Soudal-QuickStep are realigning as a sprinting and Classics team. With Tim Merlier and Paul Magnier covering the sprints, theyve signed former Monument winners Dylan van Baarle and Jasper Stuyven to rediscover their old form as well as former Intermarche rider Laurenz Rex, though hell miss the first races after crashing at the AlUla Tour.Unibet-Rose Rockets to make presence felt?Even though they missed out on a Tour de France wildcard, Bas Tietemas Unibet-Rose Rockets will be on the start line for a whole host of Classics, bumping shoulders against WorldTour squads in Omloop Nieuwsblad, Strade Bianche, Milan-San Remo, E3 Saxo Classic, the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. They have started 2026 hot with Dylan Groenewegen winning the Clssica Comunitat Valenciana ahead of QuickSteps Magnierand Luk Kubi racing to second on three stages of Etoile de Bessges and finishing ninth at Clasica Jaen. Kubi was the teams star rider last year, with several Classics top tens and turned down WorldTour offers to stay with Unibet. No spectator interferenceInterfering fans were out of control during the Classics last year. Van der Poel was caught up in most of it, being spat at during the E3 Saxo Classic and having a bidon thrown in his face at Paris-Roubaix, while a spectator rode onto course at womens Lige-Bastogne-Lige. Hopefully theres less of that this year.Eternal quote of the ClassicsThe Classics are brutal. Disgusting. Some of the hardest one-day races on the calendar, but theyre also the best. Perhaps nothing sums it up better than this quote from former rider Theo de Rooij in an interview with American presenter John Tesh. Its a bollocks, this race! Youre working like an animal, you dont have time to piss, you wet your pants. Youre riding in mud like this, youre slipping its a pile of shit. But when asked if he would turn up the next year, he said, sure, its the most beautiful race in the world! For more on the Classics, visit our hub page. What do you think?Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll. The post Everything you need to know ahead of the Classics appeared first on Cyclist.0 Yorumlar 0 hisse senetleri 425 Views

- BIKERUMOR.COMHeres Your PSA to Charge Electronics, Refresh Tire Sealant & Get Bikes Ready Before Its Too LateThe first nice weather of the year hits, and you drop everything to rearrange your schedule to get some much-needed miles in the sun. Theres a problem, though your lights and computer (and maybe derailleurs) are dead, your tires are flat with dried-up sealant, your clothes are missing, and your bike has been neglected all winter. Take this as your friendly reminder to prep all your gear before those surprise early-spring days. I know I could have used one. You think at this point Id be better at this, but every year it seems to be the same old story. Over the winter, I primarily ride fat bikes off-road, so I have no use for the lights, radar, and computers I normally use for gravel and road riding. The same goes for electronic drivetrains. Even if your derailleurs arent completely dead, its a good idea to charge the batteries before you head out for the first time of the year (and dont forget to use the apps to check on the coin cell batteries in the shifters!). Now, many of you may be smirking to yourself, thinking, thats one of the reasons Im keeping my mechanical drivetrains. And youre right. The prevalence of batteries throughout almost every corner of cycling gear has gotten a bit ridiculous. Years ago, I finally invested in a multi-port USB charging station, and it was one of the best things Ive done for trying to keep all the various electronic gadgets functioning. It not only allows me to charge many things at once, but acts as an area to keep all the lights, computers, radars, cameras, sunglasses, mini inflators, electronic bells/speakers, watches, heart rate monitors, and derailleur/seatpost/shock batteries in one place. Prep Those TiresWhile youre at it, if youre running tubeless, its time to refresh that tire sealant. Your tires will likely hold air perfectly well as the sealant has dried inside and plugged up any small leaks. But get another puncture while youre out riding, and the dried sealant will no longer flow to the new hole. Its a good chance to also inspect the tires do you have any foreign objects embedded in the tread? Any cuts, bulges, or fraying sidewalls? If so, do yourself a favor and swap in a new tire now. What Else?Lubing (or waxing) your chain is an obvious one. If your chain is dry, slightly rusty, or just excessively dirty, take the time to clean and lubricate it. If you have suspension, give the stanchions and seals a quick wipe with a clean rag to remove any excess dirt. Youll also want to check the air pressure in your suspension if its been a while. Those with mechanical drivetrains dont need to check their batteries, but it is a good idea to check your cables. Look for housing with compressed ends under the housing end caps, so that the inner wire strands are exposed (you can cut this flush, and open the end with a pick). Also, check that the cable is running smoothly through the housing as you shift through all the gears. Dont Forget the Clothing! No, you dont have to charge your clothes (unless you have some of those heated gloves, boots, helmets with lights, etc.), but it should be washed and readily available. The first ride of the year always seems to be a scramble to locate the ideal pair of gloves, bibs, headwear, etc. Knowing where it is ahead of time means less time trying to gather your kit, and more time enjoying the sun.Nutrition?Looks like I need to restock some wafflesDepending on how long you plan to ride and what kind of nutrition you use, you may need to think about that ahead of time, too. Usually, at this time of the year, my stash of bars, waffles, chews, powders, and gels is either greatly diminished or expired because I forgot about them at the bottom of some bag. If you plan to need them, make sure to go out and buy them ahead of time so youre ready for that ride whenever it may be. Dont forget to have some bottles clean and ready to go as well. Ready? Time to RideMy first gravel/road ride of the year inspired this dead batteries, flat tires, missing clothing, and the frustration of having to cut the ride short on a 65 day because I ran out of time. Take it from me a little time spent preparing now will mean that your first ride of the year will be remembered for how great it was to be back outside, rather than how long it took you to get ready. If youve already been riding this year, or never take any time off, then you should be good to go. But its still a good time to check your bike to make sure its in top condition for the heart of the cycling season. See you out there! The post Heres Your PSA to Charge Electronics, Refresh Tire Sealant & Get Bikes Ready Before Its Too Late appeared first on Bikerumor.0 Yorumlar 0 hisse senetleri 417 Views

My go-to at the moment is the Cottagecore Mix, which currently includes Labi Siffre as well as Connie Converse. If you dont know, Converse was a folk singer-songwriter active in the 1950s who didnt break through at the time but after old recordings were published shes gained plenty of fans 70 years too late. She was certainly ahead of her time, I highly recommend having a listen and then looking up her crazy story.I previously included playlists of new music I like in this section but have gone off the boil, so Im going to start a new one that Ill keep going with my current rotation of songs Im enjoying rather than exclusively new discoveries. You can find that here, its not got loads in at the moment but Ill keep adding and removing.Ad featureBoyd Cyclings gravel wheel range covers high-speed racers and real-world ridersAt Boyd Cycling, performance has never been one-size-fits-all. At the very top of its gravel lineup sits the Jocassee SL, the no-compromise gravel wheelset built with aerospace-grade carbon fiber and the brands flagship Grade 54 hubs. With lightning-fast engagement and an obsessively refined carbon layup, the Jocassee SL tips the scales at an incredible 1,145g. However, the strength of the rim rivals that of a mountain bike wheelset. Thats a goal most brands struggle to approach, let alone beat, even at weights north of 1,400g. The Jocassee SL exists to prove whats possible when wheel design, materials selection, and build spec have no limit. But that isnt the only story Boyd Cycling wants to tell. Boyd believes great gravel wheels shouldnt be reserved for just those riders chasing the cutting edge of wheel design.Thats why it built the Reiver. The Reiver brings true carbon gravel performance to a more accessible price point without losing the durability and ride quality that matter when gravel turns rough. With a 26mm internal-width carbon rim, Grade 36 hubs with 10 of engagement, and a proven spoke and brass nipple build, the Reiver is designed for punishing terrain not pristine racecourses. At just 1,385g per set and priced at only $1,200, the Reiver delivers serious performance where it counts. From the uncompromising Jocassee SL to the value-driven Reiver, Boyd Cycling remains committed to building wheels for how people actually ride gravel. Two paths. One philosophy.Built to ride hard!Find out moreAd feature endsThe post In the Drops: Truflo electric mini pump, Comfy Lizard Skins bar tape, the Pogaar biography, magic broccoli juice and Connie Converse & co appeared first on Cyclist.0 Yorumlar 0 hisse senetleri 400 Views
