Dont Throw Away Your Old Velocio GearTrade it in
Velocio wants your old gear. Well, your old Velocio gear, that is. Dont throw them away, send them back! Bibs, jackets, shorts, jerseysif it is Velocio apparel, it applies. You can send your used apparel back and get up to a 15% discount on new purchases. Its pretty easy. Start by going to renewed.velocio.cc/tradein and click: Start Mail-in.Enter the Velocio item you would like to send in, then choose it.Click: Yes, add item. Notice that Velocio will estimate your expected credit. From there, you can choose to add another item or continue to wrap things up.Once you hit continue, it will prompt you to fill out the standard shipping and billing information.A couple of things to note. First, you will receive up to 15% credit on the original price of the product youre returning. Velocio bases the amount of credit given on the condition of the item and its original retail value. If they cannot determine the original MSRP, they will credit you $7.Also, another important note is that Velocio determines the condition of what you send back. If an item is in poor condition, you will not receive a gift card and your item will not be returned to you (emphasis added). So, if it is in super rough shape, maybe dont send it back. While any apparel applies, there are a few things excluded. Velocio cannot accept the following items: socks, gloves, shoe covers, hats, warmers, water bottles, stickers, tote bags, items from other brands, or items made in collaboration with other brands.Velocio also deducts $10 from your credit (see the photos) to cover shipping the items back to them.Okay, there are some exceptions, but it is a cool way to get discounted Velocio gear, and could be a great way into some new sizes if youve bulked up or slimmed down. Buying a Pivot Switchblade? Make it Unique with One of Four Custom Decal Kits
Pivot now lets you mix things up beyond the standard decals that come with the Switchblade. And, best of all, it wont cost you anything!Well, the custom decals are an add-on at no extra cost. However, it will cost you the price of a new Pivot Switchblade.Regardless, it is still a cool way to make your bike unique, given that you are in the market for a new Switchblade. And why shouldnt you be? If you like those do-it-all bikes that can get you into trouble just as easily as they can get you out of trouble, the Switchblade is a great choice! The Switchblade falls somewhere in that all-mountain category. Do we still say all-mountain? Long-legged trail bike? Mini-enduro? Whatever you call it, the Switchblade has 142mm of rear travel paired with a 160mm fork. Despite the longer travel, the bike pedals and climbs incredibly well thanks to a very supportive and active DW-Link platform. Also helping the Switchblades climbing prowess is what some might say is fairly conservative geometry. The bike is not as slack, not as long, and not as low as other bikes in the category. However, rather than conservative geometry, it seems the geo is just distinctly Pivot. While it may not follow industry trends, the Switchlade performs exceptionally well on technical, janky terrain.Sort of like the technical terrain youd find in the Phoenix area, where Pivot is located. Personally, I have a Switchblade in my garage, and if you couldnt tell, yeah, Im a fan (Zach is too, shown by the photos above).New Pivot Switchblade DecalsSwitchblade frame colors: Blue Neptune (left) & Stealth Mojave (right)Currently, the Switchblade frame comes in two colors: Stealth Mojave (black) and Blue Neptune (well, blue). And the decals associated with those two frame colors are white and black, respectively. Now, Pivot introduces four new special-edition decals: Stranger in the Night, Cotton Candy, Laffee Taffee, and Starry Night. All four decal kits are available on either the Stealth Mojave or Blue Neptune frames.Cotton Candy (left) & Laffee Taffee (right)Pivot professionally installs the kits, and they are only available on complete builds. They arent charging anything extra for the special-edition kits, but purchasing a Switchblade certainly isnt cheap. Pivot offers six builds, with the Switchblade Ride Eagle 70/90 build entering at $6,500.Starry Night (left) & Stranger in the Night (right)But you get a fairly solid bike for the price. Fox Performance suspension, SRAM mechanical direct-mount shifting, and SRAM DB8 Stealth brakes. Plus, Pivots frame quality is exceptionally high and backed by a warranty.Check out the new frame decals at pivotcycles.com.The post Buying a Pivot Switchblade?
