(Yes, a visitor to my home might think thats my only bike, which is incredibly awkward for me.) Also, I do catch myself wondering if Im actually saving additional time due to the aero frame and wheels. If so, then the Y-Foil is the perfect bike for the busy (and completely unselfconscious) professionalor slovenly semi-professional bike blogger, as the case may be. Also, as loud at it is visually, it cant rival how actually loud modern road bikes have become. The last time I rode over the George Washington Bridge onto the popular roadie route the remnants of my hair stood on end the entire time due to the incessant howling of disc brakes all around me. And if it wasnt the bikes baying at the moon, it was the hideous ratcheting of their stupid high-decibel freehubs. RATTLERATTLERATTLEHOOOOOONK! RATTLERATTLERATTLE-HOOOOOONK! How do people stand for this? Its all in the name of better braking, but Id rather ride a quiet bike and go plummeting into a ravine.
