- BIKERUMOR.COMTout Terrain Introduces Divide eMTB with Pinion Motor.Gearbox.UnitTout Terrain is working on a new bike with a Pinion Gearbox, only this one also has a motor. Named after the Great Divide MTB Route, the Divide e-MTB is a European-made aluminum frame that houses the Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit (MGU).Specifically, the frame features the Pinion E1.12 MGU with a Gates Carbon Belt Drive. That gives the bike 12 speeds housed in the gearbox which are shifted with the Pinion Smart.Shift electronic shifting system for a 600% range. The motor will provide assist up to 25 km/h. Given that the bike is currently available for pre-order with bikes not expected to ship until Q2 of 2025, details on the frame and battery are still light. We know that the aluminum frame is designed around a 120mm RockShox Pike suspension fork, and it will ride on 29 wheels and tires (tire clearance and tire size TBA).Currently, there is only one pre-configured model to pre-order, the Divide Select 5.1 for 7,799. It will be offered in three sizes with short reach numbers compared to most current mountain bikes (the large tops out at 456mm). With stack numbers starting at 648mm for the Small, this will be a fairly upright and comfortable ride for longer days and comfortable exploring. Wexford this afternoon.Griffin, wearing the magenta leaders jersey, took the victory ahead of American Heidi Franz (Monarch Racing) in second, with Dutch rider Noor Dekker (JEGG DJR Academy) coming home in third. The maximum time bonuses secured by Griffin at both the finish and intermediate sprint resulted in her extending her lead at the top of the general classification to 12 seconds over DAS-Hutchinson-Brother UK teammate Caoimhe OBrien. The day started in the warmest conditions seen at this years race so far, with riders assembling at the Hoban Hotel in Kilkenny City for the 104 kilometre route to Gorey, in Rs na mBans first visit to Co. Wexford. The undulating profile featured 1206 metres of elevation gain and two categorised climbs, in what was sure to be a tough day out for many tiring legs. The first hour of racing was punctuated by a series of short-lived attacks, with the peloton remaining largely intact until a long uncategorised drag which preceded the intermediate sprint after 38 kilometres. Griffin took the maximum three bonus seconds at the sprint, followed once again by sisters Aoife and Caoimhe OBrien, who picked up the remaining two and one bonus seconds respectively.Another flurry of attacks immediately followed, with Canadian Anabelle Thomas eventually forcing a gap by powering clear in the most significant break of the day. The Primeau Vlo Groupe Abadie rider established a margin of over one minute on the chasing peloton, before finally being reeled in at the base of the second category ascent of Sliabh Bu to end her 27 kilometre solo foray.Once on the 3.3 kilometre long climb, featuring a maximum gradient of 18.6%, the main bunch exploded into multiple groups, with only a reduced bunch of favourites and jersey wearers left at the front of the race by the top.In a continuation from the previous days mountains classification contests, IVCA Wicklow 200 QOH jersey wearer Lucy Lee (DAS-Hutchinson-Brother UK) once again went head-to-head with 2023 overall winner Manon de Boer (NWVG-Uplus), with the Dutch rider prevailing to narrow Lees lead to just two points. Third place was taken by Franz, recently selected to represent USA at the upcoming World Road Race Championships, followed by Dan Morrissey Primor by Pisseis Katy Hill in fourth. The run-in to the second and final categorised climb of the day to Ballymore was dominated by the strong attack of DAS-Hutchinson-Brother UKs Frankie Hall and Primeau Vlo Groupe Abadies Jazmine Lavergne, both sitting at 16 seconds overall going into stage three. The duo rapidly opened a gap of one minute, surviving Franzs pushing of the pace on the Ballymore climb to maintain a 34 second advantage over the top, with Hall taking the maximum QOM points ahead of Lavergne.Team Ireland, JEGG-DJR and Dan Morrissey all put riders to work on the front of the chasing group, finally succeeding in closing the gap to the leading pair with just five kilometres remaining.Repeating the playbook from the previous two stages, DAS-Hutchinson-Brother UK took control at the front of the lead group in the closing stages, once again setting up the sprint for magenta jersey Griffin, who duly delivered the victory to extend her lead overall.Griffins victory also widens the gap at the top of the Cycling Ireland Points and Kilkenny County Council Best Irish Rider classifications, with teammate Caoimhe OBrien also adding a second to her lead at the top of the Sport Ireland Best Young Rider standings.Tomorrow sees the return of the popular stage from Kilkenny to The Rower, featuring three categorised climbs and 1,041m of elevation gain over the 101 kilometre route.Photos by Lorraine OSullivan [See image gallery at www.irishcyclingnews.com] Stage Results & ClassificationsThe post Rs na mBan 2024 Stage 3 Full Results & Photos appeared first on IrishCyclingNews.com | Irish Cycling News | IrishCycling.0 Σχόλια 0 Μοιράστηκε 220 Views
