- BIKERUMOR.COMPreview: 2nd Annual MADE Show Portland Kicks Off Today! Were here again in Portland, Oregon covering the 2nd annual MADE Show. And, Im going out on a limb to say that its currently the best bike show in the good ol US of A. I have no stats to back that statement up, I mean, its just my opinion. But after 27+ years in the industry, and countless hours spent walking the aisles of bike shows, I mean, thats gotta count for somethin, right? (Photos / Ron Frazelle)Regardless, the stoke of this show is like nothing Ive experienced in quite some time. It reminds me of the big ol industry group hug that was the Interbike Shows of yesteryear. Look, Ive said it before, the overwhelming feeling that you get from a building full of likemindedness is palpable. It makes you feel like you could change the world. Thats the MADE Show for me, seriously it really is somethin.Im at the venue, and walking the show while the brands get set up for the showtime on Friday. I thought it would be cool to compile a gallery of photos of some things that caught my eye. You know, like a teaser of stuff to come.No brand names, no wordsjust photos. I will post on most of these bikes and goodies in detail as the show progresses. Have fun drooling over some of these.Teasers Galore!Im not sure I will be able to get to all of the cool things at the show this year. But, I will do my best! So, please stay tuned to this bat channel for more sexy bikes and bike components as we continue our MADE Show coverage! - BIKERUMOR.COMWolf Tooth Components ENVE IN-Route Headset Offers Lowest EC Stack Height AvailableAttendees at todays MADE show may notice 11 different bikes with a brand new headset from Wolf Tooth Components. Bikes from Mosaic, Scarab, Seeker, Hoff, and Sanitas will also feature WTCs first internally routed headset, specifically designed for the ENVE IN-Route system. Hoff Cycles with WTC IN-Route Headset (Photos/WTC)While maligned by many mechanics, internal headset routing is getting more popular, even on metal bikes with 44mm head tubes. Thats where the new WTC EC44U INT headset comes in. Following the WTC headset formula, this new headset is made in the USA from 6061 aluminum and includes Enduro stainless steel bearings. Compatible with any frame that uses a 44mm internal headtube and external cups (EC), the headset top cap is specifically designed to interface with the ENVE IN-Route system with either stems or one-piece stem/bars. Wolf Tooth claims that the 15.8mm stack height of the top cap is the shortest of all internal EC headsets for the IN-Route system and one of the shortest for any internal EC headset for any fully integrated cockpit on the market. Its also pretty light at 116g for the full headset. Available in seven different colors, the headset is available now for the upper and lower set at $219.95.
