New Tacx Nera indoor trainer is a mid-priced turbo with multi-directional movement
CyclistNew Tacx Nera indoor trainer is a mid-priced turbo with multi-directional movementTacx has launched a new mid-priced trainer, just in time for indoor cycling season north of the equator. While Wahoo has discontinued its Kickr Move, Garmins Tacx continues to offer fore and aft motion, as well as side-to-side movement with the Nera and its pricier Neo 3M. It claims this offers a more realistic and comfortable ride feel than a trainer with fewer directions of motion in use.Maximum power output for the Nera is 2,200 watts, with a claimed +/-1% accuracy, theres a 6.1kg flywheel and the Nera can simulate gradients of up to 20%. Theres WiFi connectivity for fast data transmission and an even faster Race Mode included. The Nera is compatible with the Tacx Alpine climb simulator too.Tacx has got onto the Zwift-ready bandwagon, offering a version of the Nera with Zwift Cog and Click, although theres also an option with a standard 11-speed cassette ready-fitted.Choose the Zwift-ready option and theres a free Zwift subscription included, while both configurations include access to the real world video-based Tacx Training app and 45 days free access to Tacxs premium plan. The Tacx Nera is priced at 859.99 / $999.99 / 999.99, either with a cassette or Zwift Cog and Click. Thats more than Wahoos flagship Kickr, which carries a 774.99 / $849.99 / 849.99 price tag, but offers only side-to-side motion. The post New Tacx Nera indoor trainer is a mid-priced turbo with multi-directional movement appeared first on Cyclist.
