Scott has launched a new urban electric bike with a low step-through, full suspension frame. The Scott E-Ville is, according to the brand, designed as a single bike for commuting, trips across town or longer recreational rides, with the higher of the two specs, priced at 4,999 / 5,299, offering off-road capability.Theres rapid saddle height adjustment thanks to a dropper seatpost, which Scott says also makes it easier to put a foot down when you have to stop. The bar height can be changed thanks to a variable height stem.Scott E-Ville details Scott encloses the rear shock in the frame, so it's more shielded from debris. Paul Masukowitz / Scott Sports Scott has enclosed the E-Villes rear shock within the frames seat tube, where it claims its protected from dirt and debris, which it says will help to reduce longer-term maintenance needs.The E-Ville provides electric support via a Bosch Performance Line CX motor, which offers up to 100Nm torque, while theres a choice of 720Wh and 800Wh removable batteries with on-bike or off-bike charging and you can also fit a range extender if needed. Scott says that you can add a trailer if you need to transport more.The bike comes with integrated Lezyne front and rear StVZO lights and with Curana mudguards for all-weather riding.
