Woman cycling e-bicycle seriously injured in a collision involving jeep driver in Drogheda
A woman in her 20s who was cycling and e-bicycle was seriously injured in a collision involving a motorist driving a jeep yesterday on John Street, Drogheda, Co Louth.A spokesperson at the Garda Press Office said: Garda in Drogheda are renewing their appeal for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on John Street, Drogheda, Co Louth, on Friday, 25th September 2026.The incident, which involved a jeep and an e-bike, occurred at approximately 6:45pm. The female e-bike rider, aged in her 20s, sustained serious injuries and continues to receive Hospital treatment, the spokesperson said.The Garda Press Office confirmed to this website that it was an e-bicycle involved with the collision.Garda said that they are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward, in particular, anyone who was in the vicinity of Dublin Road, Marsh Road, or John Street, Drogheda, between 6pm and 7pm on yesterday evening are being asked to contact investigating Garda.The spokesperson added: Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, from the area during that time are also asked to make it available to Garda.Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact Drogheda Garda Station on (041) 987 4200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
