Adam Rafferty finished tenth in the mens under-23 time trial at the UCI Road World Championships in Montral on Monday 21 September, a top-ten ride as Ryan Gal of the Netherlands took the title from the hot seat.Rafferty (bib 12) covered the 31km course from Avenue du Parc in 38:23.05 at 48.93km/h, 56.89 seconds behind the winner. He improved at every check 13th at 10.7km, 11th at 19.1km and ninth at 25.6km and his second half was among the quickest in the field, with the fifth-fastest time over the third sector.Seth Dunwoody (bib 28) slid out on a corner in the opening section and finished 56th in 43:20.08, 5:53.92 down.
