Eddie Dunbar (Pinarello Q36.5) finished eighth on stage 7 of the Vuelta a Espaa at Aramn Valdelinares on Friday 28 August, his best result of the race, on a day won by Andreas Leknessund from the breakaway.Leknessund (Uno-X Mobility) took the 149.8km stage from Vall dAlba in 3:49:47, dropping his companions on the final climb with 7.5km to go. His teammate Tobias Halland Johannessen was second at 34 seconds for an Uno-X one-two, with Wout van Aert third at 47 and Jakob Omrzel fourth.The Norwegian riders wore black armbands and led the peloton at the start in tribute to King Harald V, who died on Friday. It is Norways first Vuelta stage win since Thor Hushovd in Murcia in 2010 Hushovd now manages Uno-X Mobility, who are riding their first Vuelta and have now won a stage at each of the last four Grand Tours they have entered.Tadej Pogaar keeps the red jersey and gained a few seconds on his rivals, leading Enric Mas by 3:50 and Primo Rogli by 4:50 with the top three unchanged. Van Aert takes the points classification on 104, two ahead of Pogaar, who leads the mountains on 29 with Leknessund wearing that jersey. Oscar Onley holds the young rider classification, Decathlon CMA CGM the teams, and Van Aert was named most combative.Irish RidersDunbars eighth place at 1:51 is his best of the Vuelta and comes a day after he lost 47 places at Castell.
