Nine national youth road race titles were decided at Cycling Irelands National Youth Championships on Saturday 22 August, hosted by Square Wheels Cycling Club, with the road races following the mornings time trials.Eoin Davis (Bohermeen CC) won the U16 Boys title in 1:26:30 from Darragh Murphy and Oscar Sevastopulo, all given the same time, having taken silver in the time trial earlier in the day. James Cunningham (Team WORC) won U15 Boys in 1:28:39 from Xander Huele and Ethan Real.Aoife Craig (VC Glendale) took the U15/16 Girls title ahead of Katie Turner and Clodagh Quigley, denying Turner the double after her time trial win.Fabian Drwal (Lynx Cycling Club) and Lilly Mc Dermott (TC Racing) completed doubles, adding road race titles to the ones they won against the clock, with Drwal winning U13 Boys and Mc Dermott U13/14 Girls. Cullen Murphy (OLeary Stone Kanturk) won U14 Boys.Molly Turner (Orwell Wheelers) also doubled up, taking U11/12 Girls to go with her U12 Girls time trial title.
