Quirk Cycles launches small-batch Kegety steel gravel frameset
Quirk Cycles has announced the Kegety steel gravel frameset, which will be made in small batches in stock geometries, building on the brands experience producing custom frames.Quirk Cycles was founded by Rob Quirk in 2015 and is still based in Hackney, East London, where its frames are designed and made.According to Quirk: I originally designed the Kegety for the inaugural Silk Road Mountain Race, to explore how capable a gravel bike could be on genuinely rough terrain. I learnt a lot from that experience, and it shaped a bike that marries stability with responsiveness when the terrain becomes truly demanding. Rob Quirk originally designed the Kegety for the 2018 Silk Road Mountain Race. The Kegety frameset is made of Columbus Life steel tubing, with Quirk adding its own 3D-printed head tube, seat tube cluster and dropouts. It offers 50mm tyre clearance and is compatible with 1x electronic groupsets only, with a Universal Derailleur Hanger, a T47 bottom bracket and mudguard mounts. Quirk fits an ENVE fork and cockpit to the Kegety. Quirk fits an ENVE Gravel In-Route fork and cockpit, both colour-matched to the frame, with three colour options available.Quirk had previously specialised in bespoke frames custom built for its riders. After Rapha founder Simon Mottram requested a frameset for the Manchester to London ride, he subsequently became a lead investor in a 2025 500,000 funding round, which enabled Quirk to expand its facilities and move to small-batch production.Quirk isnt following trends; its defining whats next for boutique performance cycling, and Im excited to help him scale this vision into a modern, globally respected performance brand, Mottram said at the time. Quirk 3D-prints its seat cluster, headset and dropouts for the Kegety. Quirk has subsequently launched the Mamtor road and Durmitor race small-batch framesets, with the Kegety its third stock geometry frame. The Kegety can be bought now, with dispatch scheduled for October. The frameset is priced at 4,999, complete with ENVE carbon fork, ENVE In-Route Aero Stem and Chris King AeroSet headset. The frame kit is priced at 5,699 and adds an ENVE Aero Road In-Route handlebar and ENVE seatpost and full builds are available from 10,550.International orders are priced at $5,721 / 4,963 for a frameset and $12,074 / 10,474 for full builds, plus local taxes and delivery charges.
