Irish Cycling Campaign seeks candidates for its membership development officer
Irish Cycling Campaign, via An Taisce, is seeking to employ a membership development officer. The closing date for receipt of applications is 23:59 on Friday, August 21, 2026.Irish Cycling Campaign, an umbrella group of most of the larger cycling campaigns in Ireland, and An Taisce, an environmental charity, are two independent charities that say they work closely together. The reason for An Taisces involvement in this role is that the cycling campaign uses it for its human resources structures. Irish Cycling Campaigns member groups include the Dublin Cycling Campaign, the Cork Cycling Campaign, the Limerick Cycling Campaign and a number of other groups in towns around the country. The groups are mainly volunteer-led, with the position being the national campaign groups first advertised paid position since the campaigns national cycling coordinator was hired in 2013. The new role is listed as having a one-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension, subject to funding. The salary is shown as between 35,000 and 40,000 per annum, and the position is advertised as 4-5 days, negotiable, with flexible working hours.Its also listed as being remote or working from An Taisces offices in Dublin 2, with occasional travel needed.Growing membership and levels of volunteering within the Irish Cycling Campaign are only part of the role, with facilitating excellent internal communication between members also listed as a core part of the role.
