Fifth place rider at the Tour de France Florian Lipowitz has suffered a high speed crash on stage 16 and left the race.The Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe rider, who was third on GC at the Tour in 2025, slid out on a corner during the time trial stage and crashed into the barrier after careering across the tarmac.He was slow to get up and appeared to be in considerable pain, clutching one shoulder.Lipowitz later was escorted to a stretcher and out of the race.
