The 2026 Tour de France continues on Tuesday 21 July with stage 16, a 26.1km individual time trial from vian-les-Bains to Thonon-les-Bains, through the hills on the southern shore of Lac Leman.The first time check comes after 7.1km, before the ascent of the category two climb the Cte de Larringes (9.7km at 4.3%). The second time check comes at 18.1km in, before the riders finish on the lakefront in Thonon.The first rider down the start ramp will be the lanterne rouge, or last rider on general classiciation, Kamil Gradek (Bahrain Victorious) at 1pm CEST (12pm BST/7am EDT). Riders will then set off at 90 second intervals until Egan Bernal (Netcompany-Ineos) at 4:45pm, at which point there will be gaps of two minutes between riders heading out on the course.The final rider, of course, will be yellow jersey Tadej Pogaar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG), who will head out at 5:15pm CEST (4:15pm BST), with the organisers expecting him to finish in around 35 minutes.While Pogaar has five minutes on second-placed Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe), there will be a handful of riders hoping to taste victory or move up on general classification on Tuesday. This list starts with double world time trial champion Evenepoel, who will start his ride at 5:13pm.
