Stablead is displaying its new 3D-printed four-piston brakes, which feature a futuristic smooth design, and independent contact and reach adjustment, at Eurobike. The brakes are still in late-stage prototyping, and use 18mm and 17mm pistons in the caliper. While we're not sure what size pads the brand has opted for, the ones shown on Stablead's stand at Eurobike feature cooling fins similar to those found on Shimano's latest high-end mountain bike brakes. These should help with heat dissipation and keep brake fade away on long descents. The brakes use mineral oil in the hydraulic system. Nick Clark / Our Media The brand also showed off some new suspension prototypes, including a downhill fork and an enduro fork, the latter of which features high-speed and low-speed compression damping alongside a port for an upcoming electronic suspension damper. Nick Clark / Our Media Stablead incorporates a significant dose of carbon fibre into its suspension, and while we couldn't get any exact figures from the brand, a spokesperson said the aim is to reduce weight by 10 per cent compared to its competition.
