Waterford section of greenway to New Ross opens link into city expected in late 2027
A long-awaited, around 7km section of the New Ross to Waterford Greenway was mostly opened with little fanfare over the weekend. The route from the edge of Waterfords North Quays project at Ferrybank to Curraghmore in Co Wexford is now open. Kilkenny County Council said it Wishes to advise that the Ferrybank to Curraghmore section of the New Ross to Waterford Greenway is now open to the public.The route has been used by some locals on foot for around a year, but construction barriers made it impractical to cycle. Its opening was largely delayed due to issues with the North Quays project.
