Everything you need to know about Canyons new Lux World Cup
Canyon has released its new race-focused Lux World Cup cross-country bike, with the brand claiming it is faster, lighter and more capable than ever. We've been seeing prototypes of the bike for a little while, but finally, the covers have been pulled off. Here is everything you need to know about the Canyon Lux World Cup. Canyon says it has reduced the CFR's frame weight by 55g, bringing a size-M frame down to 1,480g, while also improving durability through updated materials and manufacturing. Complete builds are claimed to start at 9.82kg (21.6lb). All models feature Canyons anti-squat flip chip, designed to enable riders to tweak pedalling efficiency and suspension behaviour. The idea is to better match different course profiles or drivetrain setups, although real-world impact will depend on how frequently riders adjust it. Suspension travel increases to 120mm front and 110mm rear, reflecting the ongoing shift toward more capable XC bikes as World Cup tracks become rougher and faster. Canyon claims a more linear early stroke (less progression in the first half of travel), which should make the suspension more active around sag. On paper, that translates to improved traction on climbs and a smoother ride over chatter although it remains to be seen how that balances against pedalling efficiency under race conditions. Geometry has taken a notable step forward, which should improve stability on descents: Head angle has been slackened by 2.5 (now 66) Wheelbase increases by roughly 40mm Alongside performance updates, Canyon says it has simplified the bikes design with fewer small parts, improved bearing access and clearer service points. The new bike feature more suspension travel than before. Canyon The bike had success at the Cape Epic. Canyon Luca Schwarzbauer and Sam Gaze took three stage wins at the 2026 Cape Epic aboard prototype versions. Jenny Rissveds won all eight stages of the 2026 Cape Epic (mixed pairs) on the same platform. Therell be one CF 9 and four CFR build variants. Prices range from 3,999 to 7,999.
