The 2024 Vuelta Femenina came to a close last weekend with Demi Vollering winning ahead of Riejanne Markus (Visma-Lease a Bike) and Elisa Longo Borghini. Vollering claimed two stages on her way to the overall title, after a season opening punctuated by underwhelming results. The Dutchwoman, who is set to leave her SD Worx squad at the end of the year, adds the Vuelta to her palmars alongside her Tour de France victory last year.
