CyclistHow to watch the Giro dItalia Women 2024The Giro dItalia Women 2024 will act as the meat in the womens 2024 Grand Tour sandwich. The race will last for eight stages. The tour begins with a time-trial in Brescia close to Lake Garda on Sunday 7th July. From there, the percorso moves down the boot of Italy through the Apennines towards Abruzzo where the race will finish with two tough days in the central Italian mountains on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July. The reigning champion Annemiek van Vleuten will not return to defend her title following her retirement at the end of 2023. The title is therefore up for grabs. Lidl-Trek enter the race with a bullish lineup including Elisa Longo Borghini and Gaia Realini. Juliette Labous, the runner-up last year, will lead DSM-Firmenich-PostNL while SD Worx-Protime have Lotte Kopecky in Demi Vollerings absence.
