- WWW.CYCLINGWEEKLY.COMRouvy adds full support for Zwift hardware, with improved training integration and 'greater visual detail'With summer on the horizon, any dust that may have gathered on the turbo will likely be shaken off in the coming weeks. And if youre a user of Zwift hardware, youll now be able to enjoy Rouvys real-world routes as part of your autumn and winter indoor training programme. Starting today, the indoor cycling app, which Zwift acquired in April, will provide full support for trainers fitted with Zwifts Cog and Click technology, delivering greater compatibility and virtual shifting from the handlebars. Equally, Zwift Ride smart frame users will be able to enjoy an always-ready Rouvy setup; a Rouvy edition of the adjustable smart bike will be available from its online store from 9 September, complete with a set of Rouvy stickers.(Image credit: Zwift)But the integration doesnt stop there. Rouvy has announced that TrainerRoad users will now have the option to complete TrainerRoad workouts using Rouvys routes, which feature realistic roads and gradients, and it will soon add new destinations. The latest real-world locations include remote desert roads in Morocco, the worlds highest paved roads in India and several routes that bring the wilds of Patagonia to your house, garden shed or wherever you happen to do your training. Rouvy says all the new routes feature its Enhanced tag, which it says means they benefit from greater visual detail thanks to high-definition improvements. Rouvy users will be able to add these latest routes, along with others, to a Ride Later collection. Alongside the existing Favourites option, it enables users to create a to-do list of rides.(Image credit: Rouvy)Rouvy also aims to bring an improved community experience alongside the increased compatibility and additional routes. Building on the Clubs, Communities, and In-Ride Chat that were launched in the summer, new Club Challenges are arriving to enhance camaraderie and competition. Rouvy says that 850 clubs and 130 communities have been created in the past two months alone. Cycling doesn't stop when the outdoor season changes. This season we're making it easier for riders to stay connected to the roads, goals and people they ride for, says Rouvy Co-Founder and CEO, Petr Samek. From full Zwift hardware compatibility and training integrations, to new routes and ways of riding together. Everything we're introducing has the same purpose helping riders achieve their cycling goals and keep riding throughout the year.(Image credit: Rouvy)And if your motivation starts to flag as the weather worsens, Rouvy is introducing more opportunities to ride with the pros. This autumn, beginning in October, its releasing a calendar of Group Rides that are led by some of its most notable sponsored athletes, including Wout van Aert, Victor Campanaerts, Tour de France Green Jersey winner Mads Pedersen.0 Comments 0 Shares 214 Views

- WWW.BIKERADAR.COMRouvy embraces Zwift hardware as it gears up for the northern hemispheres indoor seasonRouvy has announced a raft of updates ahead of the indoor cycling season, including expanded support for Zwift hardware, integration with TrainerRoad workouts, new real-world routes, and more ways for riders to train and ride together.Despite now supporting Zwifts equipment, Rouvy says it wants to continue to focus on its real-world riding simulation ethos, despite its links to more gamification-oriented Zwift. The two platforms were expected to continue operating independently, with separate subscriptions and product roadmaps. However, the link-up could present practical benefits to both companies and make using each platform easier without a different setup. Read more: Zwift buys Rouvy in massive shake-up of indoor cycling Smart trainers with Zwift's Cog and Click will now work natively with Rouvy. Simon von Bromley / Our Media Rouvy says those who already own Zwift hardware will have another option for software, rather than being tied to using Zwift's platform.Smart trainers with Zwift's Cog and Click pre-installed will now work with the platform, bringing virtual shifting and handlebar-mounted controls to Rouvys users.Riders can also use the Zwift Ride as a full indoor setup for Rouvy, potentially making the hardware more attractive to those who want to switch between (or, at least, try) the two platforms. The Zwift Ride will be available to buy with Rouvy branding stickers. Accordingly, Rouvy says a quarter of the EXP points earned in either platform will transfer over to the opposite account to reward effort put in across the programs.Compatible hardware will also be available through Rouvys online shop from 9 September, it will offer a Zwift Ride Rouvy Edition, which comes with a set of Rouvy stickers.TrainerRoad workouts come to Rouvy Marking another partnership, TrainerRoad's workouts will now be available on Rouvy. Rouvy has also added support for TrainerRoad's structured workouts, enabling users to complete their prescribed training sessions while riding Rouvy's real-world routes. That means riders can combine TrainerRoad's structured approach to training with Rouvy's video-based routes and simulated gradients, rather than completing a workout against a more conventional virtual training environment.Rouvy and TrainerRoad say the integration is intended to make indoor training more enjoyable by combining structured workouts with a greater sense of realism.More real roads, in higher definition Routes will now be re-processed into an enhanced format. Rouvy The platform is also expanding its route library, with new routes planned for Morocco, India and Patagonia. Some of the new routes will carry a new 'Enhanced' tag. According to Rouvy, this identifies routes that have received significant visual improvements, with greater detail and improved speed-adjustment processing. In theory, for example, a route recorded at 20km/h, but then ridden virtually at 40km/h will now feature less warping a common issue faced by users. The whole library is expected to have been enhanced in around 12 months' time.Rouvy says it has also responded to user feedback by adding a Ride Later collection, whereby riders can bookmark routes they want to tackle in future, rather than marking them as a favourite route immediately.Challenges and pro rides Wout van Aert is set to host at least one ride in the coming season. JASPER JACOBS / BELGA MAG / Belga / AFP via Getty Images Rouvy introduced its Clubs, Communities and social chat features in the northern hemispheres indoor training off-season (summer), and says 850 clubs and 130 communities have been created by users since launch. The next addition will be Club Challenges, arriving this autumn and enabling riders in groups to compete with each other.A programme of rides with professional cyclists will also begin in October, led by 2026 Paris-Roubaix winner Wout van Aert and Victor Campenaerts, both of Team Visma-Lease a Bike, and the 2026 Tour de France green jersey winner Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek). Rouvy says the full calendar of pro group rides will be announced shortly.0 Comments 0 Shares 284 Views
