Ma Petite Entreprise rider Alison Avoine lived out one of the worst days of my career on Saturday, when she missed the time cut on stage one of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. The Frenchwoman finished the stage in Lausanne alone at the back of the race, almost 27 minutes after the winner Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime), and just one minute and 45 seconds adrift of the time cut fixed at an extra 12% of the winners time. The race communique left no room for sympathy: The following rider finished outside of the stages time limit and is eliminated: Alison Avoine, Ma Petite Entreprise. Writing on Instagram after the stage, Avoine explained that she cracked but fought until the very end. Today I experienced what I think is one of the worst days of my career, the 26-year-old wrote.
