Mayo, hosted by Cunga CC over 111.6 km in wind and rain.After a stop-start race of repeated attacks, Winkley edged James Armstrong (Rgion Sud Cycling Academy) and Hugh g Mulhearne (AS Villemur Cyclisme) at the line. Olympian Lara Gillespie (UAE Team ADQ) claimed her second national title in three days, adding the Elite Womens Road Race crown to last Thursdays time trial win, as the 2026 Cycling Ireland Elite Womens Road Race National Championship was decided in Cong, Co. Mayo, hosted by Cunga CC over 111.6 km in wind and rain.Gillespie took it in a tough uphill sprint from Emma Jeffers (Liv AlUla Jayco) whose runner-up finish was enough to retain her U23 national title with 2025 champion Mia Griffin (Team Picnic PostNL) third.
