The 25-year-old bridged across to Aleksandr Vlasov and Richard Carapaz after the duo attacked on the final lap of the Swiss race, which has been won by the likes of Neilson Powless, Marc Hirschi and Alexander Kristoff in recent years. Slock then earned a gap of his own on the uphill sprint to the line and, confident the victory was secured, raised his hands to celebrate before hitting the ground and sliding across the line.
