MyWhoosh Championships announced with $1,000,000 prize pot, and no finisher will go away empty-handed The MyWhoosh virtual cycling platform has announced a new round of the MyWhoosh Championships, which will take place in July and have a total prize pot of $1,000,000. The competition takes place over seven days, with riders using their own smart trainer at home to participate. It takes the form of a stage race, with the rider with the lowest total time over the seven stages victorious. The prize fund is split equally between male and female competitors, with prizes for high GC placings as well as in the separate sprint classification and KOM/QOM competition, just as in a typical stage race. According to Matt Smithson, director of e-sports and game operations at MyWhoosh: For one week in July, our users in their own home can take on the kind of week a professional takes on. It is genuinely hard. It is also a huge amount of fun, and it is something we all end up battling through together. MyWhoosh highlights this sense that, due to the multiple stages, everyone competing is in it together. It contrasts this to many esports events which are one-and-done. A $700 gift pack for each finisher Competitors ride at home on their own trainer, with MyWhoosh applying anti-doping controls to ensure fairness. This will be the third annual MyWhoosh Championship, with the same prize structure as the 2025 edition. The parcours is also similar in both total distance and elevation gain, although the stages are different. MyWhoosh says that a total of 6,000 hours and 200,000 kilometres were ridden by the competitors in the 2025 event, who came from 47 countries. It says its aiming to double the number of participants this year. All finishers will receive a $700 gift pack as well as having a chance to take home one of the larger prizes on offer. It says that every finisher in the event will receive a gift pack worth $700, over and above the $1 million prize fund, so no finisher will go away empty-handed. To avoid unfair competition, MyWhoosh requires all participants to undergo its short Power Passport Test to validate their power numbers. It says that if youve raced its Sunday Race Club, your previous test results may still be valid. It will also apply its anti-doping and integrity testing programme that is used for Sunday Race Club to the championships. Registration is now open for the MyWhoosh Championships and MyWhoosh encourages riders to complete their Power Passport earlyso that theyre ready to compete.
