His season was cut short after a crash in July last year, suffering a broken leg and sitting out the rest of the season. However, Ewan says, This means Ive come back very motivated to perform strongly this year. The Rs is a major goal for this season.Ewan Warren will be joined by fellow Irish man Eoin Kelly who is a new signing for Brocar Rali Al in 2024. He also took part in the last two Rsanna, so has great experience with the race. He is looking to use the experience and strength gained from racing in Spain to improve again this year.The team, then racing under Brocar-Ale, took the runner-up spot in 2022, with Louis Sutton finishing 51 seconds behind winner Daire Feeley. This result was enough to win the young rider jersey for Sutton. After their strong debut in 2022, Brocar Rali Al definitely looks like a team to watch.Ger Campbell welcomed Brocar Rali Al back to the event, We are delighted to have team Brocar Rali Al at the 2024 Rs Tailteann. They have been one of the strongest teams to come out of Spain and have always had a close relationship with Irish riders and this race. Similar roads and racing types allow for ample preparation for the event. CC Isle of Man has had some very strong performances, including two riders in the top ten of the final stage into Blackrock during the 2022 event.Speaking ahead of the event, Team Manager Conor Davies said, This years Rs looks to be considerably tougher than last year, so we look forward to getting stuck into some hard racing and hope for some good weather!.Welcoming CC Isle of Man for 2024, Race Director Ger Campbell said, We are thrilled to have CC Isle of Man join us again this year. Such passion has seen riders progress to UCI Continental level. The wind was a little unusual with a cross headwind coming down the finishing straight.Racing started at 10am with the U8/10 race and continued throughout the day.In the A4/M50/M60/W race we had the tightest of finishes. Many riders attempted a breakaway but they never gained more than 20 seconds. At the bell Tomas ONeill (Greenmount CA) looked to have a solo win in the bag but the bunch hunted him down and a bunch finish followed. Cian OConnor (Blarney CC) getting the nod over Bernard OConnell (Limerick CC) with a well timed bike throw. Alan Benson (Limerick CC) was 3rd and Gabrielle Fox (Greenmount CA) was 1st Woman ahead of Kate Murphy (Sliabh Luachra CC)In the A1/2/3/J race the group of A3/J riders started with lap advantage over the A1/2 riders. The A3/J junior riders immediately set to work to keep the A1/2 bunch at bay. However the A1/2 group started to turn the screw and real them in gaining some seconds every lap until the junction was made about 20 minutes into the race. Sam Moloney (Burren CC) and Fran Brannigan (Cycologist Clonmel) made brave attempts to hold off the bunch in the wind. Once they were realed in many more attempted to escape. Finally with 7 laps to go Ben Murphy (Sliabh Luachra CC) attacked and was followed by Vinnie Gleeson (Greenmount CA) and they built a 20 sec gap. The bunch were gaining but with 3 laps to go Evaldas Stankevicius (Greenmount CA) escaped the bunch and bridged across. The trio held on to the finish with the Lithuanian M40 Champion Stankevicius strongest in the sprint from Murphy. Brendan Reen (Sliabh Luachra CC) led the bunch home with Mark McGlynn (Kilarney CC) and Junior James Connelly (Blarney CC) 6thMassive thanks to all the riders, parents, stewards and supporters who made it a successful Raceday at Limerick Racecourse.
