Paul Comps New Tall & Elegant Zero Setback Seatpost Stands Next to Tall & Handsome
Bitchen news from Chico, California, as Paul Components releases a new seatpost. Hold on, dont fret, Pauls world-famous Tall & Handsome seatpost isnt going anywhere. But, if youre looking for a seatpost with less setback than the Tall & Handsome, then Pauls new Tall & Elegant Seatpost might be your huckleberry.(Photos / Paul Components)Heres the deal The Brooks B17 saddle has been in production and remains virtually unchanged since the 1880s. So, its not really a surprise that it doesnt always play well with modern seatposts. Well, Paul Price (the Paul in Paul components) loves the Brooks B17. So, a while ago, he decided to make a seat post that would have enough setback to accommodate the B17s painfully short seat rails. Thus, the birth of Pauls Tall & Handsome seatpostBlackSilverThe Original Tall & Handsome has a whopping 26mm of setback and is the perfect post to run a B17 without issue. I personally love the Brooks B17, and have owned many Tall & Handsome posts over the years. The Tall & Elegant SeatpostThe Tall & Elegant Seatpost came to fruition after listening to their customers requests. Customers wanted the same post, with the same design and attention to detail as the Tall & Handsome, but without the 26mm setback. The Tall & Elegant maintains the brands famous focus on practical adjustability and durability while offering a straight mounting position. The design centers around user-friendly adjustability. The two adjustment bolts are spaced far enough apart to make it easy to use standard multi-tools for trailside adjustments or torque wrenches in the shop. The dual-bolt system prevents saddle rail slippage, while spherical stainless steel washers allow the bolt heads to pivot and self-align to the saddle cradle. The top clamp incorporates two brass trunnions that reduce friction and prevent binding during angle changes. This makes for nice, smooth tilt adjustments.Fore and aft saddle adjustment is easily done by loosening both screws equally. There is also approximately 15-degrees of tilt adjustment range as well. And if you need to micro-adjust, the rider simply loosens one bolt while tightening the other. The new Tall & Elegant also accomodates carbon railed saddles. If youre using the Shimano E-Tube app, dont upgrade to Android 17
Shimano has advised Android phone users of its e-Tube Project app not to upgrade their phone to the Beta release of the latest Android operating system, because the app doesnt yet work correctly with Android 17. The E-Tube Project app, which was last updated in October 2025, enables users to check status, update firmware, adjust derailleurs and change shift parameters on its Di2 electronic groupsets, as well as fine-tune assistance levels for Shimano electric bike motors. The E-Tube app enables users to change parameters for Shimano electric motor systems. Canyon The second Beta for Android 17 was released on 1 March and, Google says, focuses on improving performance, boosting energy efficiency and strengthening privacy and security tools. In an email sent to users, Shimano says it is working on fixing the compatibility issue with the E-Tube app and that it will inform users via Google Play once it is solved, which it expects to take a few days. If you're an older phone, youre probably in the clear as are iPhone users.

The Most Compact Tailgate Pad? New Race Face Stash Tailgate Pad Rolls Up for Storage
If you own a pickup truck, tailgate pads are one of the more cost-effective ways to transport multiple bikes at a time. They are generally much less expensive than hitch bike racks, with fairly simple designs that put a pad between your bikes and the tailgate. As such, tailgate pads havent exactly been a hotbed of innovation, but Race Face is bringing something novel to the market with its new Stash Tailgate Pad. This new model sports the typical attachments, protection, and features of standard pads, but it rolls up and fits into a storage bag, so you can more easily stow it in your shuttle rig or garage. Its a convenience-oriented design for those who dont want or need to leave a tailgate pad on their truck at all times. The new Stash pad comes in mid- and full-sizes to fit a wide range of pickup truck tailgates.Race Face has been making some of the best tailgate pads for years. The T2 pad remains a popular choice among shuttle enthusiasts, and the brands latest T3 pad appears to be an even more refined version. But, for as light and thin as tailgate pads are when off the truck, their shape and size can make them somewhat awkward to stow in your truck or store in your garage. The new Stash pad addresses that issue with its rollable and more stowable design.Mustaches are not required to use the new Stash Tailgate pad, although they appear to be recommended.Stash Tailgate Pad DetailsThe new Race Face Stash Tailgate Pad comes in two sizes. The mid-size is designed for small to mid-sized trucks and has space for up to five bikes. It is 53 (135 cm) wide. The full-size is designed for full-size trucks and can fit up to six bikes, and measures 61 (155cm wide). When you dont need to haul bikes, the Stash rolls up and fits into its included storage bag. According to Race Face, the stowed dimensions are 16 x 20 for the mid-size, and 16 x 22 for the full-size. Thats roughly the size of a large sleeping bag and should easily fit in the back seat of your truck or on a shelf in your garage, shed, or other storage space. The most unique aspect of the Stash Pad is the ability to roll it up and put it into its storage bag.Yet even with that stashable convenience, the Stash is still packed with the features needed to make it a functional and protective tailgate pad. Four straps loop under the tailgate to secure it and make installation and removal quick and easy on the vehicle. A 20mm thick panel of padding folds up and over across the top to protect bike downtubes and fork crowns. This padding is secured with Velcro when hauling bikes, and it folds back and out of the way for compatibility with tonneau covers and camper shell doors.Adjustable straps are claimed to work with all bikes, along with the roll-up panel for handle access and backup camera use. Bikes are secured to the pad with Velcro straps that are adjustable to work with various downtube sizes, including bulky eMTBs. A roll-up tailgate handle/camera panel ensures easy access and the ability to use your backup camera. The inner lining of the pad is a soft material to prevent abrasion damage to your vehicles paint. The exterior material is PVC-coated tarpaulin, which is water-repellent and durable. All of the straps are connected to the pad with Hypalon reinforcements for added durability. The fold-over padding protects your bikes while maintaining compatibility with tonneau covers. Pricing and AvailabilityThe new Race Face Stash Tailgate Pad officially launches today and is available now. Both sizes retail for $179 USD ($189 CAD), which is a fair bit less than the brands T3 model. Head to the Race Face website or your local Race Face dealer to learn more or purchase the new Stash Tailgate Pad.raceface.comThe post The Most Compact Tailgate Pad?
