For Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe, the road to July begins quietly, deliberately, and far from the glare of the Tour de France. Winning gold against Mathieu? Not possible: Tibor Del Grosso concedes Van der Poel dominance ahead of Cyclocross World Championships
The clearest assessment of the Cyclocross World Championships this week did not come from a rival team, a pundit, or an outsider. It came from inside Alpecin-Premier Tech itself. For Tibor Del Grosso, the question of gold in Hulst is already answered. Winning gold against Mathieu? Not possible, De...

Meet the 32 British riders in the mens WorldTour in 2026
CyclistMeet the 32 British riders in the mens WorldTour in 2026Once upon a time, British riders were few and far between at WorldTour level. Thanks to a gold rush through the 2010s, however, the boys from Blighty are now among of the hottest properties in the sports top flight. This year, there are 32 British riders on the WorldTour level. This marks a small decline of two from last year (thanks, Simon Yates), but it is still well above the historic average, which perhaps is a nod to Britains strong youth scene these days. The most common team for British riders at present is Ineos Grenadiers, who have six Brits among their ranks no surprise considering its a British team. Following them, Visma-Lease a Bike, Picnic-PostNL and NSN Cycling all host five, and EF Education-EasyPost boast a respectable four. There are some lone wolves elsewhere though, as Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe take on their first Brit in years. With that, lets get to know the Brits set to compete at cyclings highest level in 2026.Oscar Onley (Ineos Grenadiers)Ineos GrenadiersHailing from Kelso in the Scottish Borders, 23-year-old Oscar Onley is Britains best bet for a Tour de France podium in 2026. Before we explore that prospect any deeper, lets reflect on Onleys rise to notoriety. The Scot was thrown into the limelight in 2022 after defeating newly crowned Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard at the Cro Race. Having put his name on the map, he would be fielded to a couple of Grand Tours as a GC experiment for Picnic-PostNL, which set him up for WorldTour success in 2024 in the form of a stage win at the Tour Down Under and top ten finishes at the Tour of Guangxi, Tour de Suisse, Tour de Pologne and the Tour of Britain.Last year, however, saw Onley shoot up the UCI rankings after a podium finish and stage victory at the Tour de Suisse in June. This prefaced his second Tour appearance, where he rose to fourth place in the overall ranks by the time the race concluded in Paris, just a minute off the podium and the white jersey for the best young rider. Understandably, he had rival teams keen on his signature, especially with his Picnic-PostNL contract due to expire at the end of 2025.And so, it began. Onley initially extended with Picnic-PostNL, then a December plot twist saw him make a not unexpected 11th-hour move to Ineos. Now that the dotted line has been signed, Onley will lead the team at this summers Tour de France. The rest of his schedule is yet to be decided, but we can expect to see him at plenty of stage races on the build-up to his big French goal.Sam Watson (Ineos Grenadiers)James YorkThe first of many riders from Yorkshire, 24-year-old Sam Watson will be hard to miss this year as he carries the red, white and blue bands of British champion for the first half of 2026.Having come from Groupama-FDJs development programme, Watson shot through the ranks in 2025, which can comfortably be described as his breakout year. Watson returned to racing in Europe with a first WorldTour victory at the Tour de Romandie, then his first GC title at the 4 Jours de Dunkerque. Later in the year, hed pick up the national champions jersey just ahead of a Tour debut a week later in Lille. He maintained his strong form through to the end of 2025, with decent showings at both the Deutschland Tour and the Tour of Britain. The Englishman is a thoroughbred rouleur with decent capabilities on rolling profiles. Hes found a particular niche in short prologues, displayed by his Romandie win last year and his recent victory on the opening day of the Tour Down Under. Related Posts What are the Grand Tour favourites' race schedules for 2026? What to expect from every mens WorldTour team in 2026 All the 2026 WorldTour kits ranked from worst to first Even now I watch it back and think, How did I do that?: Matthew Brennan Q&A Ben Turner (Ineos Grenadiers)Harry TalbotBen Turner started his cycling career as a cyclocross rider. Having made the podium at the junior World Championships in 2017, he moved to Belgium to race for a Flemish cyclocross team over the winter. After the pandemic, Ineos sealed his signature and brought him into their Classics arsenal. At Ineos, his impact was felt immediately in those Flemish one-day races, but hed soon become a mainstay of the teams Grand Tour rosters, with two Tour de France appearances to date. Last year he displayed a newfound skill as a sprinter, having reached the top ten in two fast finishes at the Giro. A later win at the Tour de Pologne cemented his promise before a real crowning moment at the Vuelta a Espaa, when he defeated Jasper Philipsen to win Stage 4.Turner is often nicknamed The Clock in reference to Big Ben. I hope whoever gave him that moniker realises Big Ben is the bell rather than the clock. Poor guy.Ben Swift (Ineos Grenadiers)Dario Belingheri/Getty ImagesBorn in Yorkshire to a Manx family, Ben Swift first made a splash on the WorldTour scene over a decade ago. At the Tour de Pologne, Tour Down Under and the Tour de Romandie, the Ineos rider took some impressive sprint wins in his early twenties. A couple of years later, he finished on the podium of Milan-San Remo and briefly spent some time at UAE Team Emirates before moving back to Ineos in 2019.Following his return, Swift became the British road race champion in 2019 and again in 2021. During his second stint at Ineos, Swift became increasingly known for his versatility, even riding to a top 20 finish overall at the 2020 Giro dItalia.Nowadays, his role is more of a road captain, especially since the departures of Team Sky mainstays Luke Rowe and Geraint Thomas. Recently at the Tour Down Under, however, he proved he still has some firepower as a leadout man, on this occasion in the service of new teammate Sam Welsford.Josh Tarling (Ineos Grenadiers)Tim de Waele/Getty ImagesWelshman Josh Tarling made a cataclysmic breakthrough in 2023, claiming an elite medal in the World Championships then a European title at the age of just 19. Since then, hes continued to develop as a thoroughbred time-triallist, with three WorldTour wins against the clock to his name before even turning 22.After winning his first Grand Tour stage at the Giro dItalia in 2025, Tarling is expected to return to a three-weeker in 2026, most likely the Tour de France. In addition, he may continue his exploration into the Classics, with another Paris-Roubaix punt expected.Read ourQ&A with Josh TarlingConnor Swift (Ineos Grenadiers)James YorkConnor Swift took a while to reach the WorldTour, but he is now a staple of cyclings top division. His pathway to this point came from a mix of British and French glory., starting with the domestic Tour Series, which he dominated through 2017 and 2018 while riding for Madison-Genesis. Swift would later burst into frame at the 2018 British Championships, where he won the national title as a domestic rider. This caught the attention of Arka-B&B Hotels, who scooped him up on a multi-year deal.At the French team, Swift would act as a loyal domestique for Nairo Quintana at three Tour de Frances. During this time, the Yorkshireman would impress in one-day races, crowned by a crafty win at the 2021 Tro Bro Lon in Brittany. Inevitably, he was soon picked up by Ineos Grenadiers to join his cousin Ben from 2023, where he remains a Classics leader and Grand Tour domestique today.Aside from his road duties, Swift is Britains best gravel rider. He won a bronze medal at the 2023 UCI Gravel World Championships and is a two-time national champion in the discipline.Adam Yates (UAE Team Emirates XRG)Xavier PereyronOne part of Burys top cycling duo alongside twin brother Simon, Adam Yates started his road career at Orica-Greenedge, now Jayco-AlUla. There, he would rise through the ranks off the back of some strong GC results as a youngster, namely in the 2016 Tour de France, when he won the white jersey despite being flattened by an inflatable sponsor arch while on the attack.A yellow jersey stint in 2020 and a transfer to Ineos would see him remain in the upper echelon of GC riders during the early 2020s, but his subsequent move to UAE in 2023 would give him fresh momentum when it comes to WorldTour glory. At Tadej Pogaars team, he would go on to win the Tour de Romandie, Tour de Suisse, GP Montral and two editions of the Tour of Oman. On top of this, he finished on the podium of the 2023 Tour de France and spent five days in the yellow jersey. These days, he remains an important element of Pogaars Tour machine. In 2026 he is expected to reprise his domestique role at both the Tour and Giro dItalia, where he will work for JooAlmeida in his pursuit of a first Grand Tour title.Following the retirement of his brother Simon at the start of the year, Adam is now the last Yates left standing on the WorldTour level. Theres no excuse for mixing up the twins now, is there?Tao Geoghegan Hart (Lidl-Trek)Lidl-Trek/Ross BellNow aged 30, Tao Geoghegan Hart has suddenly become the only British Grand Tour winner left on the WorldTour level after the retirement of Simon Yates, Geraint Thomas and Chris Froome over the Christmas break.Years before his 2020 Giro dItalia triumph, Geoghegan Hart grew up racing in London. He made his first splash on the pro level with Bissel, now Hagens Berman Jayco, over in the US before getting poached by Team Sky in 2015 as a stagiaire. He would stay there until 2023, with his chief achievement being that Giro dItalia victory.Since joining Lidl-Trek, his performances have been choppy, having only reached the top ten of a WorldTour race twice since his transfer two years ago. However, Geoghegan Hart has expressed his desire to jump back onto a leadership level in the upcoming months, but with his Lidl-Trek team signing two new GC leaders and his contract expiring this year, he may find himself on the transfer market come summertime.Read ourQ&A with Tao Geoghegan HartEthan Hayter (Soudal-QuickStep)Baloise Belgium TourEthan Hayter is one of many riders on this list with a track background. At the age of 17, he became both European and World Champion on the track. He followed this up with a handful of rainbow jerseys in the omnium and team pursuit, and topped that all off with two Olympic silver medals. On the road he has also ridden to great heights, particularly against the clock. During his time at former team Ineos Grenadiers he bagged three stages at the Tour de Romandie and won both the Tour of Norway and the Tour de Pologne overall. Last year, he found further success in time-trials with victories at the British National Championships, Baloise Belgium Tour, Tour de Luxembourg and the Tour of Holland. A real Benelux theme there, it must be said. Now that were in between Olympics, Hayter is committed to the road in 2026 as he enters his second season with Soudal-QuickStep. This year, hell feature at Tirreno-Adriatico, Itzulia Basque Country, the Tour de Romandie and the Vuelta a Espaa, which offers two individual time-trials.Callum Thornley (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe)George Marshall / Red Bull Content Pool22-year-old Callum Thornley is the third Scot to join the WorldTour in as many years. Raised in the Scottish Borders, Thornley started on dirt tracks as a youngster before switching to the road in his teenage years.A promising rider as a youngster, Thornley made the podium of the under-23 British National Championships and won the mountains jersey at the 2024 Tour of Britain, signalling some real promise. The Scot moves up to the WorldTour after an impressive season at the under-23 level, in which he finished in the top 15 overall at both the Giro Next Gen and Tour de lAvenir. To top it off, Thornley rounded out his 2025 season with a victory at Il Piccolo Lombardia. With previous accolades including a national time-trial title and a top ten at Paris-Roubaix Espoirs, Thornley is as versatile as they come.Josh Giddings (Lotto-Intermarch)Lotto-IntermarchAged just 22, Josh Giddings is a former European champion on the track at both the under-23 and junior levels as part of Britains team pursuit squad. On the back of his track results, the Nottingham-born rider moved to Lottos development team in 2023.Having graduated to the elite squad last year, Giddings was fielded to Milan-San Remo, the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix during the spring.Hes a self-described leadout man on the road. At a towering 195cm tall, hell not only be a good wind-breaker for Lotto sprinter Arnaud De Lie, but hell be easy to pick out in the bunch.Finlay Pickering (Jayco-AlUla)Alex Broadway/Getty ImagesYorkshires Finlay Pickering is Jayco-AlUlas freshest recruit from the UK.En route to the WorldTour, Pickering took a formative win at the under-23 level in 2022 with the overall title at the Tour Alsace, a race previously won by Tom Pidcock. He then left Groupama-FDJs development team to move to Trinity Racing for 2023 before finally making the step up to WorldTour with Bahrain Victorious. While at Bahrain, Pickering made some decent steps towards unlocking his full GC potential. This was displayed in particular at the Tour de Suisse, where he finished inside the top 20 in both 2024 and 2025. Some skirmishes in the breakaway at his maiden Grand Tour, the 2025 Vuelta, also helped to put him on our radar, resulting in three top ten finishes.Bob Donaldson (Jayco-AlUla)Jayco-AlUla23-year-old Bob Donaldson is entering his second year at the sports top tier.To reach the WorldTour, Donaldson enjoyed an impressive 2024 season at the under-23 level, topped with a runners-up spot at Paris-Roubaix Espoirs and the British under-23 title. A series of top tens on sprint finishes at stage races also caught the attention of WorldTour scouts and Donaldson was soon snapped up by Jayco-AlUla.In his first year at the WorldTour level, the Mancunian was sent to the Classics, including the Tour of Flanders. Later in the year hed feature in the top ten overall on several occasions, primarily at the Cro Race and the top-tier Tour of Guangxi. Hes touted as an all-rounder, which was further displayed by a 20th place overall at the Renewi Tour in Belgium, a race filled with Classics-like profiles.Paul Double (Jayco-AlUla)Jayco-AlUla/Tour of OmanThe only rider on the WorldTour from Hampshire, Paul Double rose through the ranks in Italy rather than Britain. Having ridden for a string of continental teams, Double would catch attention with some impressive climbing results in the early 2020s, despite being a little older than your typical under-the-radar talent. A strong year at Polti-Visit Malta in 2024, however, would prove to be the launchpad to bring Double onto the WorldTour level in 2025 with Jayco-AlUla.At the Australian team, Double made his Giro debut in the spring, and has gone on to pick up two stage race titles in 2025, including the Tour of Slovakia and the WorldTour-level Tour of Guangxi in the autumn. Now aged 29, Double will get his season underway with a leadership opportunity at the AlUla Tour in Saudi Arabia. A further block in the Middle East is expected, and we hope to see him on the start line of another Grand Tour soon.Matthew Brennan (Visma-Lease a Bike)Josep Lago/AFP via Getty ImagesBritains new great hope Matthew Brennan is something of a sprinting star these days despite being just 20 years old.In 2024, he made a strong impression at the Giro Next Gen with a victory while on board Vismas development squad. Hed soon be promoted onto the WorldTour team and would enjoy one of the most impressive neopro seasons in modern time. In total, he claimed a whopping 14 pro wins in 2025, four of which were at the WorldTour level.Brennan will ride his first Grand Tour later this year at the Vuelta a Espaa, when hes set to ride with Wout van Aert on Spanish roads. Alongside this three-week ambition, Brennan will compete in a packed spring programme filled with Classics, including Milan-San Remo, the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix.Read our Q&A with Matthew BrennanBen Tulett (Visma-Lease a Bike)Unipublic / Cxcling / Antonio BaixauliKent-bornBen Tuletthas been making his way around the WorldTour carousel for some time now after first catching attention as a two-time junior cyclocross world champion. He was soon swept up by Alpecin, which started a two-year contract with Mathieu van der Poels squad. Notably, he became the youngest rider in 100 years to finish Lige-Bastogne-Lige in 2020.In 2022, he jumped across to Ineos and made a strong impression in his opening year with the British team, making his Grand Tour debut at that years Giro. After another solid year for Ineos, Tulett signed for Visma-Lease a Bike, where he remains today.Last year was Tuletts most impressive to date, having bounced back from a turbulent 2024. The Brit would claim overall victory at the Coppi e Bartali stage race, before morphing into one of Jonas Vingegaards most valuable domestiques in the latter part of the season. In that role, hed ride in support of his Danish leader at the Dauphin and Vuelta.Owain Doull (Visma-Lease a Bike)Chris AuldCardiffs experienced Owain Doull rose through the ranks on the track, and he was one of the first riders signed up to Team Wiggins, turning down an offer from Europcar in the process. After winning gold in the team pursuit at the Rio 2016 Olympics, however, the Welshman was scooped up by Ineos Grenadiers. He showed promise in the sprints during his time at Ineos, claiming some stage victories and podium finishes on flatter profiles, but hed ultimately move to EF Education-EasyPost for a four-season stint in which he would race numerous Grand Tours. He has just made another switch, this time to Visma-Lease a Bike, where his role will likely be as a leadout man for Matthew Brennan.Bjoern Koerdt (Picnic-PostNL)Ion Alcoba Beitia/Getty ImagesYorkshires Bjoern Koerdt will enter his second year at the WorldTour level this year with Dutch team Picnic-PostNL.In his neopro year last season, he bagged a couple of top ten finishes at stages in the Tour of Norway and Arctic Race of Norway. This was rewarded with a Grand Tour start at the Vuelta a Espaa, where he finished in the top ten on Stage 3s uphill sprint finish. If youre wondering where his name is from, Koerdt has Swedish and German roots on his fathers side.Oliver Peace (Picnic-PostNL)Picnic-PostNLFrom a similar neck of the woods as Koerdt in fact, hes a childhood friend of his now-teammate is neopro Oliver Peace. The Yorkshireman first competed in cyclocross and road before ditching the muddy discipline in 2023 after he sealed a contract with Picnic-PostNLs youth team. There, Peace would race alongside the likes of Romain Bardet as part of his development, which would reach its high point with four top ten finishes at the 2025 Tour du Rwanda. This will be the 20-year-olds first year at the WorldTour level. Hes already had the opportunity to race with the big guns at the Tour Down Under, but expect him to be fielded in hillier races as the season unfolds.James Knox (Picnic-PostNL) Dario Belingheri/Getty ImagesFrom the South Lakes in Cumbria, James Knox is now one of the longest-serving WorldTour riders from Great Britain. After two years at Team Wiggins, he moved onto the sports top division in 2018 with QuickStep as a rare climber in their roster. His second year at the team was arguably his best, with top tens overall at the UAE Tour and Tour de Pologne ahead of a near-miss at the Vuelta, where he finished in 11th. The following years would see Knox settle into a domestique role for Remco Evenepoel as the Belgian took over leadership at the team from 2020 onwards.Like Evenepoel though, Knox has moved for the 2026 season after eight years with his now-former squad. At his new team Picnic-PostNL, hell be in charge of looking after the teams younger GC talents.Read ourQ&A with James KnoxSean Flynn (Picnic-PostNL)A.S.O./Billy CeustersSean Flynn is another Scottish rider in the WorldTour. Born in Edinburgh, he started racing through cyclocross and mountain biking. He became the junior British Champion in both disciplines, but would switch his focus to the road in 2021 after signing for SEG Racing Academy, one of the most prestigious youth teams in Europe. Proving himself as a solid sprinter during his time at SEG and then Tudor Pro Cyclings development squad, Flynn signed a contract with Team DSM, now Picnic-PostNL.During his time at Picnic, hes been a constant fixture in the squads Classics lineup, having featured in the breakaway at the Tour of Flanders. These performances were vindicated with an entry into the Tour de France in July, where he became the third Scot in history to compete in the iconic race.Max Poole (Picnic-PostNL)Dario Belingheri/Getty ImagesScunthorpes Max Poole broke onto the scene in 2023 when he narrowly missed the podium at the Tour de Romandie. After some more time to develop, he made a strong impression at the UAE Tour and Vuelta a Burgos in 2024 with a seventh and second place respectively. He would top this off with a Vuelta a Espaa spent mainly in the breakaway, ending in four podium finishes on stages at the race.In 2025, Poole was fielded as Picnics leader in the Giro, where he just missed out on the top ten in 11th place overall. Towards the end of last year he was ruled out of late-season races due to Epstein-Barr virus.Given the exit of Oscar Onley, Poole now becomes Picnic-PostNLs top climber in 2026. As such, the Yorkshireman will ride the Giro once again this spring with eyes on a top ten finish overall. Like last year, he will join Casper van Uden in Picnics hunt for vital victories in what could be a make-or-break year for the Dutch team.Oli Stockwell (Bahrain Victorious)Szymon Gruchalski/Getty ImagesHertfordshires Oli Stockwell (right) is another young Brit now accustomed to WorldTour life.Stockwell began racing in the Home Counties, balancing road and cyclocross. In 2022, he moved to Italy on the back of a Dave Rayner Foundation donation to begin his journey to the WorldTour. Having ridden with CTF Victorious, Bahrains low-key development team based in northeastern Italy, Stockwell made his name known on the youth scene last year. His neopro season last year was one of discovery with Bahrain Victorious. He was trialled as a climber, with a notable top 40 finish overall at the AlUla Tour last February. This year, hes got his calendar underway in Australia, where he competed in the Tour Down Under for the first time.Max Walker (EF Education-EasyPost) Dario Belingheri/Getty ImagesStarting 2024 as a relatively unknown rider on the British scene, Manxman Max Walker began scooping up race wins while wearing the colours of Astanas development wing. Two stages at the Tour of Japan, a stage at the Sibiu Tour, a GC podium at the ZLM Tour and two medals at the national championships were the highs of a fruitful 2024. Those breakthrough results rightfully warranted some attention from WorldTour squads, including EF, who won his signature at the end of that year. Now into his second year on the WorldTour level, Walker has proved himself primarily in time-trials. That said, hes often found himself in the breakaway at major races, including Paris-Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders last spring.Bonus fun fact: Walker can play the violin to Grade 6 level.Lukas Nerurkar (EF Education-EasyPost)Harry TalbotRaised between Ethiopia and Brighton and the godson of Ethiopian athletics legend Haile Gebrselassie, EFs Lukas Nerurkar waltzed onto the WorldTour in 2024 after a fruitful time at Trinity Racing, the British development team led by Andrew McQuaid. His first year at EF was a real stand-out, scoring a number of top tens at WorldTour stages, including the Criterium du Dauphin and Tour of Poland. He came close to a win at the Dauphin in particular, with two podium finishes in stages. Last year had a little less pizzaz, but he managed to finish in the top ten at the Andorra MoraBanc Clssica and the GC at the Tour of Guangxi. Plus, he was sent to his first Grand Tour at the Vuelta last September. This year, watch out for 22-year-old Nerurkar on punchy finales. Hes scheduled to start his season in Mallorca in a few days time, which could offer some chances at early-season top tens.James Shaw (EF Education-EasyPost)Harry TalbotNottingham-born, Derbyshire-raised James Shaw has been chipping away at the WorldTour for some time now. At 20 years old, he was picked up by Belgian team Lotto following a headline season on the under-23 level. He spent a couple of years there before moving down to the British scene in 2019.A consistent year with the now-defunct Ribble-Weldtite in 2021 saw Shaw receive a second WorldTour contract, this time with EF Education-EasyPost. This partnership got to work right away with some solid domestique efforts, breakaway chances and a flurry of decent GC results.Shaw was plunged into the transfer market for a while in the latter part of 2025, but he found a way to renew his contract with EF Educataion-EasyPost. Now safely on their books, you can expect a Grand Tour cameo from him in the year to come.Noah Hobbs (EF Education-EasyPost)Tour de l'AvenirBorn in Devon but raised in London, Noah Hobbs took a relatively well-trodden path to the WorldTour level. After winning stages at the Junior Tour of Wales and similar domestic races, he was picked up by Groupama-FDJs youth division in 2023. During that time, he would brush shoulders with top sprinters at the Tour of Britain, where he would claim his first top five on the elite level. At the start of 2025, he swapped his French home for EFs development squad. The Brit was scooping up sprint wins across the under-23 category, with seven to his name in total across the season. That includes a win at the Tour de lAvenir, where Hobbs would later claim the green jersey as the best sprinter. This year, he makes his WorldTour debut with the elite squad at EF. Hell get his season underway in the coming weeks in the Balearics at the Challenge Mallorca races.Lewis Askey (NSN Cycling)James YorkHailing from the outskirts of Birmingham, Lewis Askey has spent most of his career in France. Firstly, he rode for the Groupama development team before jumping onto the WorldTour team in 2022 at the age of 20.Naturally for a winner of the Junior Paris-Roubaix, Askey has evolved into a Classics rider with a fair sprint on him. Early signs of this during his young career include podium finishes at Paris-Tours, Classic Loire Atlantique and the British national road race in 2024. Last year, he was signed up for three Monuments as well as the Tour de France, so he certainly had the confidence of some higher-ups at Groupama-FDJ United. Thats for good reason after a stage victory at the 4 Jours de Dunkerque and a one-day win at the Boucles de lAulne-ChteaulinAskey has swapped team colours over the off-season, moving to NSN Cycling.Jake Stewart (NSN Cycling)A.S.O./ Tony EsnaultLike his West Midlands colleague Askey, Jake Stewart followed the Groupama-FDJ pathway for the early years of his career. Turning pro with the elite team in 2020, Stewart first appeared on the WorldTour podium with a second place finish at the 2021 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. He would continue to impress in his early 20s while at Groupama, particularly on the French circuit with wins at the Tour de lAin in both 2022 and 2023.He parked his French loyalties to one side, however, when he signed for NSN Cycling in 2024. Although his first season there was rather quiet, the Coventry-born rider would bounce back in 2025 to enjoy his best season to date. This came in the form of a stage victory at the 4 Jours de Dunkerque and a maiden WorldTour win at the Dauphin last year.Stewart is a hardy sprinter by trade. Expect to see him contest the Classics and stage victories at the likes of the Tour de Romandie and the Tour de Pologne in 2026. However, hes now focussed on recovering from a broken collarbone suffered at the years opener Down Under.Stephen Williams (NSN Cycling)A.S.O./Gatan FlammeFew riders deserve a WorldTour contract more than Stephen Williams. The British rider was touted as the next big thing back in the late 2010s, having signed for Bahrain Victorious. Some victories would come his way during his five-year spell at the team, having picked up wins at the Cro Race and the Tour de Suisse.Williams cut through the UCI rankings in 2024, however, courtesy of a watershed year marked by wins at the Tour Down Under, Flche Wallonne and the Tour of Britain. There he bagged two stage victories along the way to GC glory, becoming the first Welsh rider in history to win Britains top stage race. The Welshman, now 29, suffered a lingering injury in 2025, which forced him off the bike for the majority of the season. He hasnt raced since last spring but hopes to make a full recovery in the near future.Joseph Blackmore (NSN Cycling)Xavier PereyronJoe Blackmore caught attention in the spring of 2024 with notable results in the under-23 scene. First he hoovered up UCI points with wins at the Tour of Rwanda and Tour de Taiwan, before the south Londoner became the first British rider in history to win the Tour de lAvenir, considered to be the under-23 equivalent of the Tour de France.Last year, Blackmore spent his first full year at the elite level. This saw the Londoner finish in fourth place overall at the Tour des Alpes-Maritimes, followed by top 15 finishes at both Amstel Gold and the Flche Wallonne. An unsuspecting top 20 finish at the Tour de Suisse gave the team the green light to send him to the Tour de France, where he achieved a top ten finish on Stage 10.This year, he will race the Classics once again, although another Tour de France appearance is still to be decided upon.Ethan Vernon (NSN Cycling)Unipublic / Cxcling / Antonio BaixauliEthan Vernon has felt like part of the furniture within the British cycling scene for some time now. The Bedford native was part of Team GBs track programme during his early 20s. On the boards, hed become world champion in both the team pursuit and the elimination race before switching to the road full-time in 2024.Now dedicated to the road, he won stages at the Tour de Romandie, Volta a Catalunya and Tour of Guangxi as part of both QuickStep and NSN Cycling, formerly Israel-Premier Tech. At the latter, he would come close to a Grand Tour victory on the flat opening stage of the Vuelta a Espaa in 2025, only losing out to Jasper Philipsen.Vernon has already got his 2026 underway with a WorldTour victory at the Tour Down Under, where he claimed Stage 4. This year, hell form one part of NSNs three-pronged sprinting strategy alongside Biniam Girmay and Corbin Strong. The post Meet the 32 British riders in the mens WorldTour in 2026 appeared first on Cyclist.
