- TDAGLOBALCYCLING.COMTrip of a lifetime so many great memories and new friends! 2024 Orient Express Rider Reviews Are In.UPDATED October 7, 2024BY The TDA TeamINOrient Express no comments Trip of a lifetime so many great memories and new friends! 2024 Orient Express Rider Reviews Are In.The Orient Express, from Paris to Istanbul, was our companys second ever cycling tour, first run in 2005. Over the years, many riders have signed up for this ride as their first TDA experience before moving on to our many other tours, in Europe and beyond!Trip of a lifetime so many great memories and new friends. Sue Watts (New Zealand)Ive never really thought of myself as a cyclist and there were many people on this trip who were definitely hard core cyclists but I was supported and encouraged by everyone, including the staff. Right from our first riders meeting we were encouraged to make this our own trip and I felt I did that. I was often the slowest but I did more kilometres than I ever imagined I could do. There was such an atmosphere of camaraderie and support and I was inspired every day to keep going. I came away from the trip incredibly proud of myself and extremely grateful for the opportunity to challenge myself surrounded by an amazingly supportive team and a fabulous group of people. Joanne Hines (Canada)Fantastic. Sally Weatherald (Australia)The Orient Express was my first TDA cycle tour and one of the best experiences I have had on a bike. It exceeded my expectations in all respects. TDA demonstrated their experience in running long distance cycle and have a well proven format. The route was well chosen with interesting landscapes, historical sites and towns on the way. The towns & cities for overnight stays and rest days were well picked and the hotels conveniently located for their exploration. The field staff were helpful and professional. Graeme Don (New Zealand)Touring Europe by bicycle afforded me the opportunity to enjoy different culture and terrain while doing something that is joyful for me. The opportunity to make the journey with so many interesting and varied fellow riders added a uniqueness to the experience. Paul Kelly (USA)Amazing, fun, humorous, challenging, exciting, fulfilling. The perfect sort of thrill ride for the intercultural adventurist in all of us. Mark Turner (USA)The Orient Express tour is such fun! Cycling through breathtaking scenery and quaint villages with an ice cream stop thrown in. What more could a cyclist ask for! Julie Richert (USA)I really enjoyed the tour. It was great to just ride and know that everything is taken care of during the ride, after the ride, and before. You can see many interesting cities and town along the Danube and in Germany and France. Michael Dreiling (USA)Fabulous mix of crossroads culture, cycling challenge and a really great support team. Marcus Ezekiel (UK)Kaleidoscope of colour, smells, incredible scenery and surprises around every corner. Where else in the world can you cycle through forests of bears; gypsy villages; breathtaking mountains; and quaint villages always feeling safe in the care of an expert team. And finally theres the exhilaration of finishing the days ride and sharing stories and beers/aperol spritz with your new found friends. Robert Cheek (Australia)RELATEDTOUROrient ExpressIt was in 1889 that the original Orient Express train completed the Paris to Istanbul route for the first time. Our cycling version of the Orient...
