South Dublin County Council is seeking to hire an Active Travel Officer via rolling recruitment, which means once theres a sufficient number of applications received, the competition will be closed.Unlike some other councils that have a role with a similar title, focused on promoting active travel, South Dublin County Councils Active Travel Officer role is more project and planning focused, with a candidate needing a minimum of a level eight university degree in: engineering, town planning, architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, quantitysurveying, or project management.The role is whole-time, permanent and pensionable, and the pay scale starts at 58,474 and goes up to 71,437 with Long Service Increment 2.This role will be focused on the development and delivery of plans, strategies and projects to improve South Dublins transport network and deliver improved spaces for people to enjoy, to walk and to cycle.
